I called the police in both Seattle and in Delaware and there isnt really anything they can do about it either they said... so what do you do!?!?! Calling phone company in morning. If you have Verizon and most other phone companies too, you can get services for about $5 that you can block a bunch of numbers from and blocks people from private, unknown, 1800 numbers too from calling your house too, so I just added their number.

Doesn't it seem strange to at least ONE of you people that so many phones were called at the exact same time by the exact same number? Suggests to me this is either a computer generated call, or (like online, and since it's a voIP company) it's someone possibly more local "spoofing" the number?

To add to this: I tried calling back several times last night, but there was just dead silence -- it didn't even ring.

Just got a call at 3:42 PM from a similar number, 206-445-6074. Two rings and then it stopped. I didn't answer. I did try calling back, though. This time, I got a recording that thanked me for calling back, and said to press 1 if I wanted to be taken off their list. No identification.

another blog has indicated that the number is being spoofed.  It boggles my mind that (A.) people have that much time on thier hands and (B.) Spoofing is not illegal, yet.

206-445-6074 Just called.  It hung up.  When called back a recording thanked me for calling back and said if I didnt not want to be on thier list for "special promotions" press 1 to added to their Do Not Call List..

Delaware also, last call received 10:31, both calls one ring, no one there.

Phone rang, I picked up, dead air. 2:44pm 2/8/2010 New Jersey.

Just 'got the call'.  they also called on the 4th at 2:34 so I don't see a pattern based upon my calls and what's been reported above.  also had a call from "Cash Advance" at 206-397-1581.

Just got the call, exactly as previously described throughout this thread.  5:54PM, EST, February 8, 2010.  At least whoever is running this bot has decided to be polite enough not to call in the middle of the night.  It's not just you Delawareans anymore, either: it's made it up to Connecticut now.

call from this number at 1:48 p.m.  Caller i.d. says "DEBT"  rang once then disconnected. This is second time they called. this is a CT location.

I received a call from this number as well, 2 back to back. I'm in San Diego. I got in touch with a sales rep at Cbeyond Communications, and they said they searched the data base for that number, and it isn't an employee, or customers number. Told me good luck, and sorry. I think more people should call them to get them to take some type of action.

Here is what I did. I called 1-866-424-5100 Billing and Account management. The prompter asks to enter your Cbeyond phone number, I entered 1-866-424-5100, same number you call, which it worked. Then press any number to get connected with a sales rep. Then start asking questions like I did. They will get the picture I'm sure.

Well, I live in Illinois. Call came at 7:07pm on 3/26/10. Caller ID was PROMOS. Did not answer. Guess I'm lucky that call came in at a reasonable hour.

Called  6:59 pm no answer...we are on national do not call list....Caller ID read "Promos" - we are in Illinois

Got a call at 10:28 PDT today.  I said hello, and a few seconds later it clicked and started off canned music, like "You are on hold" music.  I hung up.
