Called back the #, claimed that it was the "Tax Audit Dept. Unit" of the Internal Revenue Service, Off Steven Smith, with a very thick Hindu accent.  Said that he was in Seattle and when I asked for address, he said he is in Pakistan.

Exactly the same as the others.  Got a voice message saying that there was a warrant.  when I called, the person on the other end was a moron.  I asked him for the address of his office, he said he would put me on hold, and then I was disconnected.  I looked up the IRS office in my area, and it has a completely different number.  What a scam!

India repeat scammers.  If the various state departments stopped out sourcing state programs like food stamps, welfare, etc would all these boiler rooms in India still be in business

I received a computerized message that the IRS had a warrant out for my arrest.  I called the number back from my office phone (law office), and they guy that answered said he was Officer Mack Miller with the IRS, but when I identified myself as a lawyer and asked why he had called me, he became silent (although he did not hang up).  Weird!
    • Caller: IRS - Officer Mack Miller

Good for you!  I got my first call from this scammer today, April 21, 2016.  This is a particularly outrageous scam, and it makes me sick to think anyone might be taken in by it or even have a moment of fear.  Beware!
