Clear, American voice with the same generic accent one might hear on their cell phone navigation which states "It's the IRS" Says they will take you before a Federal Magistrate judge and jury for indictment if you fail to call them back at this same number.  Hmmm....maybe they forgot to file the lawsuit, send a process server or notice up the case beforehand?  Can someone else please call them back?  My golf foursome is waiting.

got the same message this morning.  sounded like a robotic momotone voice.  i have heard there are a lot of irs scams going on out there recently.  i'm not calling back, this is the first post i found about this number.

got exact same message as above comment, on land line.  my phone doesn't tell the numbers used to call, nor the time.  It was between 3:30 and 5:30 EDT.

I got a message to call back the IRS and they left this number - 206-775-8278 - A man with a thick accent answered the phone and told me that I needed to pay some back taxes from 2009. He said that if I didn't pay it immediately, he would issue an arrest warrant. Obviously, the IRS cannot do that so I knew he was a scammer. When I called his bluff, he told me to "F-off" and hung up on me.  Oh by the way he said his name was Mark Michaels IRS badge number 94410.

recording from IRS... (scam)  says to call them at 206-778-08278. Shows up on caller id same number and from Washington DC scammers!

These [***] have been calling my father and threatening criminal actions relating to the IRS.  I called them and they could not provide me with any information.

Report it to your father's phone company as a harassing call if they continue and see if they can block the number. They like to prey on older people who are more likely to fall victim to this scam.

I got a call from 206-775-8278 today.  It was a robotic voice.  I'm not falling for this scam.  The IRS has enough information on us.  They will contact us by letter.  For the past two years I have been receiving IRS phone calls with different number.

This call was supposedly from IRS. It was threatening in nature

This never happens. A phone call without letters backing it up.
