I got an email from a Denise Foster who was interested in buying something from me off Craigslist.
I was definitely fooled, I'm glad I Googled the phone number they listed just to double-check. The email they used was denfoster02@gmail.com, in case anyone else gets emails like this.

me too, she tried to buy my laptop on CL in Austin TX. First message came from above listed e-mail, second came from denisefoster11@gmail.com.

Man, these people just need to get a life, with something better to do than waste everyone's time

Same stuff with me:

"I am interested in  purchase  it if you are ready to sell for me, So
please let me know  the present condition including your last asking
price you are willing to sell it, with some other pictures.

I got the same thing. She also tried to buy a Dell laptop from me in Hartford, CT.

Same store; different product/name.

My wife was trying to sell her Razr for $70.  She recently received the "Alright i will pay you $200" email.  And this time the scammer is calling himself/herself "Dr. Evigan."

Does anyone know how this scam works???  The scammer gets your Paypal account and then extracts money somehow?

Also, has anyone reported this person to the police?  He/she seems to stick to the same phone number.  I did a reverse look up and it is a Seattle number:
