Caller ID unknown. Didn't answer, no message left. Anyone who answers an unknown caller and responds to obvious scam questions gets what they deserve. Let your phone ring. Scammers LEAVE NO MESSAGE. No message, not important.

208 558 9856 calls my cell phone and i would like to report it and have   it stopped

The message said they were card member services and to press 1 to be connected to an agent and have my rate lowered. I requested to speak with an agent. I asked to be removed from their list. He hung up on me. Rude.

Got the call, but didn't answer.  Blocked further contact attempts.  Thanks everyone, for noting your experiences.

If you have an iPhone with the latest operating system (8.1.2) and some earlier variations too, you can block the number.

You work in the marketing industry?  Rhetorical question because I'm not coming back to read your answer. What are you doing looking here? I got here by searching for an unknown number that called me. I just have to muse (out loud) in print, What is a marketeer doing here...

I'll tell you what has worked for me so far: every time one of these credit card services call, I play along and make up a fake credit card number. When the card comes back declined, I repeat the card number with only one digit changed and say they typed it in wrong. I continue this process until they are completely frustrated. This usually wastes a lot of their time, and they quickly start getting the picture that you will waste their time EVERY time they call.

208 558 9856 called my cell and didn't say anything... trash...

Got another scam call, this time from 208-558-9856. Wouldn't you think by now that these idiots know that I'm not going to answer my phone if it's a call not from someone not on my address book, they are probably inter-connected somehow. Have a special ringtone that lets me know if it one of these calls. Luckily I have a I-phone and can block their numbers, the only thing is you cannot record a no ringtone and download it to the built in ringtones. These people are a waste of humanity.

I got a call on my cell, which is a number used for texting only. Also, last week, someone was using my credit card in SC, which is a state I have never been to. They had a physical copy of the card, so I now have a new account. I hung up on this call as soon as I answered it, since my phone didn't recognize the caller, then came here to check the number out... Be careful out there.

Scammers! He said "You do not effing think about it you son of a beech" and hung up!  

I received the call today and answered.
A recorded message came on if I wanted to lower my interest rates on my credit care, press 1.
I pressed 1 and a man with a thick Indian accent answered and asked if I was responding to lower my interest rates.
I said yes and he asked me if I would like to lower my interest on the my Mastercard or Visa?
I asked him which card they were contacting me about?
He responded, "we work with Chase, Citibank, Capitol One, and could lower my rate on any card.
I told him I didn't think he was affiliated with any of those cards and wanted to know what company he worked for so I could get my name off the calling list.
He said "You do not effing think about it you son of a beech" and hung up! Busted this scammer fool!  

I got a call from this number while I was in the middle of doing something.....  how annoying, no one was on the line.  A call back indicated the number was not in service.  I called Verizon and gave them a piece of my mind as all should do with their carriers.  There is no reason on this Earth why after say 20 complaints that Verizon can't block the call permanently and investigate.  It is a travesty that crap like this goes on and they act like I'm the only one that has had these calls.  Too lazy to investigate because they aren't loosing any money from our inconvenience.  I will call and complain every time until I get fed up enough to go back to a land line and answering machine.... do they even make those anymore?

just called 6 times in a row, no message any time said it was out of Idaho,

Received call today from this number. No message. Called the number indicated and received message the number was out of service. Hah!
