I really dislike getting uninvited/unknowing calls from numbers like 208-758-0224, that use individual names on the call ID feature of my phone.  Especially if I'm on a business call and think I'm being called by a potential client.  It is unwelcome and inconsiderate.

I do not answer calls from unknown numbers or names....especially during an election year.  FRIENDS & businesses that need to get a hold of me will leave messages.  From what I'm gathering, this is a political call & no political call is going to change my mind OR make me donate.  This is NOT the only number harassing my home phone on a daily basis. :(

as POSTED ON PAGE 1 - these calls are exempt from do not call rules.  As they are NOT SELLING anything.   This is clearly stated on the do no call website under MORE INFORMATION

    http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm
Are calls from political organizations or calls soliciting for charities covered?

Political solicitations are not covered by the TSR at all, since they are not included in its definition of “telemarketing.”

Charities are not covered by the requirements of the national registry. However, if a third-party telemarketer is calling on behalf of a charity, a consumer may ask not to receive any more calls from, or on behalf of, that specific charity. If a third-party telemarketer calls again on behalf of that charity, the telemarketer may be subject to a fine of up to $16,000 .

    What about telephone surveys?
If the call is really for the sole purpose of conducting a survey, it is not covered. Only telemarketing calls are covered — that is, calls that solicit sales of goods or services. Callers purporting to take a survey, but also offering to sell goods or services, must comply with the National Do Not Call Registry.

Privacy invasions? You do realize the Gov't now has access to all your credit card and debit card transactions don't you. It's in the new financial reform bill, the same bill that says the SEC no longer has to respond to right to information requests. Or how about the health care bill that clearly outlines any transaction over $600 even between private parties must now have a 1099 issued from the buying party to the seller. It's really time to look around and see what's happening. This is not a hard sell please read the bills for the proof

violation of your rights? The current administration pretty much says you have no rights. As of 7/29/10 you have no right to privacy in your emails, you have no right to information from the SEC now that the bank reform bill passed, you have no right to privacy with your credit card or debit card transactions now that the Gov't will be tracking your purchases also in the new bank reform bill, or how about private property rights when you want to sell your own belongings anything over $600 and you now have to deal with the IRS and 1099's, what about your own rights when it comes to your healthcare decisions? Or your rights to keep what you earn.

Received this call on my cell, didn't get to it in time. No message was left.  I came to this site to check the number out. Since it was a call to my cell I called my carrier (TMobile) and put a block on this number.

I have had two calls from this number in the last two days on my cell phone. I am on the do not call list and don't want them calling me.

I've had 4 calls from this number, over three days. The last voicemail indicated this is a survey call from the office of Republican Congressman Darrell Issa. The bulk of the message was rich with right-wing propaganda and lackluster attempts to instill fear of the impending 'socialist' take over. I get a kick out of guys who claim they're just your average American. Mr Issa's net worth is estimated at $251,000,000--making him the richest member of Congress. Can't blame him for trying though. He'd lose his corporate sponsorship if he deviated from his GOP-sanctioned talking points.

I keep getting calls from this number saying "this is a constituent call, we may call later". How the heck did they get my number? All my phone numbers are registered on the DO NOT CALL LIST and yet this stupid number keeps coming up on my caller id four times a day. Yesterday, August 1, the same number called again and I was fed up with it. Finally I picked up the call and yelled, "LEAVE ME ALONE" and I haven't gotten a call all day today:D

Have received a few calls from this number. My phone carrier has a number blocking procedure which I used. Maybe all the rest of you, who are getting these annoying calls, might inquire of your carrier to see if they have something similar.

LOL! It makes no sense. I was born in OK but only lived there till I was a year old. Of course they'd call an unlisted Louisiana cell phone number about a politician in Oklahoma.

These calls are coming from the spineless wimps at NCO Financial as SPOOF CALLS.  Wake up to reality.  Spoof calls are now illegal subject to a $10,000 fine by the feds.  Keep a list of ALL calls and photograph them on your caller ID.  Than file a complaint with your local US Attorney Generals Office.
