They called and left a message regarding "my Best Buy credit application" and that I had to call them back at an 888 number to finish the process.  I have never once applied for a Best Buy credit card.

Received a call from 208-822-2207 and they left a vm stating she was from Citibank and they were returning my call to please call back 866-458-9214.  I was not expecting a call from Citibank.  I did not call either of these numbers back I called back the Citibank Customer Service number and they verified that there was nothing wrong with my account and they had not called me.

I believe this is a legit citibank phone number. I received a urgent mail from citibank and it lists a 1-800 number to call back. I called the 1-800 number and verified some transactions with a citibank employee. After hung up, the employee called me back with an extra question. And this is the number the employee called from. That is why I believe it is legit.

A woman I could barely understand tried to tell me that I had an outstanding balance with Citibank.  I have never done business with Citibank.  When I told her that, she just hung up.

    Legit
This number might get spoofed some how, but as of March 2019, it is a legitimate Citi Card number.  I called the number on the back of my Citi Card for an issue and the representative needed to call me back.  This is the number that showed up in caller ID.  He asked me to disconnect the call and said he would call me back.  When he did, it was the same representative.  I wonder if it's some kind of safety feature on their end to call the number associated with the account.

call every day, several times a day.  wont leave vm.  I answered the first time and they asked for someone I know.
I said they were not available, so the heavy indian said thanks and hung up.  I'm blocking because they won't provide me a reason why they call me every day, day in a day out.

called around 10: I did not answer but they left a message in a very heavy Asian accent so I could not tell what he wanted - the phone showed the number and it was coming from Citigroup - I do have a Credit Card that I am in the process of changing but I had suspicions - this 208 area code number was left on my phone - if I had to depend on the voice message I would not have known his accent was so thick - I've been dealing with a company that kept sending me and charging me for magazines I never authorized and finally tracked them down as being in Stamford Connecticut and so I do not know now if these two companies are connected.
