- madhouseI am inclined to believe that it is a false company named 'Global Support Services'. Other numbers that are possibly associated are 209-348-9596 and 206-397-1127.
- Pete replies to Suejust received the same type of call. claimed his name was dave smith and je was from microsoft..
- SabSame here! Just got a call from the same person insisting that i turn on my computer to fix an error message. I almost believed him but my dad ask me to check his info first!
- DerekI received a call from the same Dev Smeed, although with his accent, I thought he had said Dave Smith. After calling Microsoft myself, they confirmed that the people calling from this so-called call center had nothing to do with Microsoft. Microsoft agent told me that they are probably a bunch of technicians, who know how to show you that your system is full of errors. At the end, they try to sell you services to "fix" your computer. SCAM !!!!!

- AnonymousJust received a call from a woman with a strong Indian accent calling herself Jennifer Gold working for the Windows Service Center in California, "the United States of California". Number she gave to confirm authenticity was 209-753-4399. Clearly a scam. They show you some errors on your computer and ask that you allow one of their Windows technicians access to your computer to repair the problems. It would be very sad if people were to fall for this. I'm not sure what they are trying to obtain from doing this but it would probably be best to hang up asap.

- Another victimHello.
My husband fell victim to this the other day. Very sad indeed. Not sure what the fallout will be but he took the laptop in to see if anything was installed or info was tampered with. He feels like a heel.
The Indian fellow said he was calling from this phone number but another one came up on call display (from Kansas). - TwoTimesLuckyHad a call a few weeks ago telling me that the man (also heavy accent) was calling from MicroSoft as they had a report my computer was infected and needed fixing. I asked how do they know. Then he proceeded to tell me I needed to go to my computer and he'd tell me how to fix it. Then I said, but I have a MAC. It took a bit before he realized what I said and he finally said OK bye. Then just the other day I got another call in the afternoon. This time from what sounded like a young lady with a very heavy accent. Same thing as calling from MicroSoft because of a report my computer was infected and hacked and was getting very very slow. I asked her name and who could I call back to verify this and who do I ask for. I was given 209 753 4399 and the name Jennifer Gold. I no call back.
