these people where saying i was going top be sued and i got a loan for an advance that i did not recieve. i will call this idenity theft

I just got a call from these people ( very heavy Indian accent) said that I have to pay back a loan that they gave me. She gave me my whole ss# except for one number was off... Who r these people???

I just received a call from (209) 912-2108.  The gentleman was Dave Scott, heavy indian accent, with a very important message from the State Attorney's office for California State Los Angeles. I filled out for a loan just as the person above. Unfortunately, our information is sold at the drop of a dime. Our privacy is not protected, under any circumstances.  No, I don't owe anybody.  I thought it was job related, because of the different work that I do.  

VERY IMPORTANT:

Reading the message board, I strongly advise that you do not verify any information or give any further information to whoever calls with anything like this again.  NO ONE and I mean NO ONE is allowed to impersonate a local authority figure in any state.  It is against the law.  If anyone calls you stating that and you can hear in their background that it sounds like a call center, I can assure you that 95% of the time it is a SCAM.  The only place that may sound like a call center is a call center location for a 911 dispatch officer, because they are roughly all in the same room.  

More than likely it is something that we all have filled out at one time or another recently, and the information is either still being passed around and/or they are trying to find a new way to SCAM someone.  I attempted to fill out a loan application over two weeks ago.  Discouraged because it kept being bounced from one dump wesite to another, to another, to another.  All screens promising to have lender networks, yet, with nothing to offer.  So what the hell did you do with personal information that you was suppose to protect.  My email box is flooded with advertisements that can't do nothing for me, all promising the same thing.  Which leaves to figure out your situation, looking at it from a different view.  If only one had that perception before they filled out the damn application.  Report all complaints to as many complaint boards as you can, especially the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Consumer Affairs and local and state authorities in your state and theirs.  The best of luck to you all and me.  Hope this helps.

I have received 7 calls from this same number. The individual claims to be a Jimmie Brown who is a lawyer. The next time you get calls from him or anyone from this number, ask for their State Bar Number, all attorneys  have them and must disclose upon request. Then contact your local police department and let them know. Also, inform your financial instituions of this.

More than likely it is a group of people that have accessed information submitted over the Internet for a loan that you may have applied for. They have your info and want you to be afraid enough to give them more info such as you bank account number, credit card number, ect., don't give them anything. If the person claims to be a lawyer, ask them for their State Bar No. All lawyers have this and must give it upon request. Keep a log of all calls and then go to your local police department.

They are calling with the same allegations. They are calling me non-stop.

They are calling my phone non-stop with different names such as John Smith or Alex Cash. Saying I applied for a loan with Quick Cash. I don't tell them anything. I have the message saved on my answering machine threatening me. Then when I do answer they are very hostile and tell me that I'm going to jail and then hang up. When you call back it goes to some answering service.

I too received a call from an individual (at home and work) who claimed to be "Jimmy Brown" (notice how close the reference is to Gov. Jerry Brown), who said I needed to contact his boss, a Michael Johnson (or something to that effect) or he would not be responsible for what could happen to me.  He said he represented the California State Attorney's office.

I was like, "Yeah, sure buddy!"

Anyway, I plan to send a formal complaint to the California State Attorney's office which I am certain isn't the first.  I hope these foreign trouble makers are caught (and I assuming they are foreign by the thick East Indian accent.)  I dunno, could be Paskistani and anyone from one of the "Stan" regions.

these people called my cell then my work number, they asked me for my attorney's information. i didnt give them anything. they also read me my ssn.

They called at work and I hung up on them.  15 minutes later they called back and said they talked to my boss and I would be fired tomorrow. I wished him luck, really made him mad.

Received a call from a person with a Middle Eastern accent representing the California Attorney General's Office and to caal back immediately.

I also received a call today from this 209-912-2108 number asking for my son and that he should call back right away because they were filing a lawsuit.  I told them he does not live here.  Quit calling!!

Oh!!!! I had a blast letting these f***ers know what I think of them.. Dave Scott was the name (sure it is) and my name is Abdul Dhamakiki.... The sad thing is some people actually fall for this crap...I wish this guy was standing in front of me now!!!

i got a call from this number on Memorial Day of all days, guy with an accent saying that I owe them money from a loan and that a "sr attorney so & so" is coming after me.  i told them that i never received any money, as i am watching my account tightly now because of my funds.  never got any extra money from these ppl, i said tell me what the case is against me and they said they'll be sending the sheriffs at my work the next day and that they'll have all the paperwork. and asked me to verify the place i worked at, i did and told them to go ahead and send them.

nothing happened tuesday, i call the # today & get a woman with an accent, and tell them so where are the sheriffs you tried to threaten me with?...they said they're coming friday and hung up on me.  tried to call back several times and they hung up.  finally one call went through, same lady, i said i want the name and address of your company so i know who's threatening me...she said i don't want to give you that.  hung up...nuff said

I'VE  BEEN SCAMMED!  I got calls at my home and job a couple weeks ago from a heavy accented guy threatening me saying I owed money to CASH ADVANCE USA and If I did not pay on it that day I would be arrested at my job in 30 min.  He was talking so fast and with the accent I could not really understand him.  I was asking him to speak slower with made him very mad.  I was nervous because I did not know wat was going on and i did not want to me embarrassed at work so I paid 1/2 on a credit card like a DUMM FOOL.  When I got home and really thought about it I did not owe anyone from the company he stated.  I looked up number and found out I HAD BEEN SCAMMED. So I just  received a voicemail froma gentlemen with a very heavy accent name  MATT WALKER from phone # 209-912-2108 stating. that it was very important that I or my my attorney that represents me to call back.That if I did not call back today then he wishes me the best of luck in the future as he can not be sure what will happen to me and God bless

I did not fall for it I just looked at all these post thanks guys I work for the government and this was a scarry call I receieved.... glad its not true same number 209-912-2108some one arrest these clowns to save inocent people

I've been harrassed by these individuals saying that I am being sued by the Consumer Affairs & Regulations of CA. I've reported them to the FTC, District Attorney of CA, Attorney General of CA. How do I get them to stop harassing me at work and at home.
