- HOOT replies to jalyn| 1 replyWhy the assumption that it was a civilian employee? Odds are if the phone line is located at Ft Sam, it could be a civilian employee, a DOD contractor, a member of the military, it could be lots of people.
- K replies to June-IssueAnyone stationed at Fort Sam Houston uses this number as a call out number. Its not just one person or company. To say that you should sue them is absurd and ridiculous as it could be any of thousands of people.
- KBCall was a doctor's appointment reminder.
- Call type: Event reminder
- BSWHY would so many ppl be getting a call from that #? Esp. if ppl don't have a military affiliation of any sort? Just an update that I got a call from this number today on my cell. We have a neighbor who works at Fort Sam and he's pretty creepy, has WAY overgrown creepy kids at home, creepy looking wife, creepy spastic dog, etc. You get the idea.
His initials are GV. That's all I'm sayin'. Wave to the surveillance cams [***] and watch this if you're so damn bored:

- PGI got a call at 0200hrs in Korea from this number...
Was it the ESD Help Desk? A friend?
I didn't answer...
Some military facilities have a default number that shows up on caller ID no matter who on the base facility calls out to.
I guess this person is taking advantage of it.
Some cities/states have a number you can dial after you hang up that gives you the specific number that called you, I wonder if that will go through the phone trunk and ID the number?- Caller: It was all in Korean, couldn't read it
- JWI missed a call from this number, looked it up on Google and got directed here, and after reading the comments here I think I know what's going on. This is an Army switchoard line that's used not only for Ft. Sam Houston, but also for soldiers calling from overseas. When I was in Iraq, we used to call these switchoard lines to get patched through to Stateside numbers, and it's possible to reach the wrong number. Remember that 1 or 2 in the morning here may be the middle of the day in Iraq or Afghanistan. If I was expecting nobody but my wife to answer, I might not notice that the groggy-sounding voice on the other end wasn't her. "What's wrong" seems like a pretty logical question in that scenario. As far as amorous tones of voice are concerned, seriously deprived soldiers tend to go straight in that direction whenever they get their significant others on the line; long deployments lead to one-track minds. I'm pretty sure the recurring complaint here is descriing exactly that phenomenon, and I wouldn't be surprised if every one here actually was called by a different people in identical circumstances.
- PatrickYes this is a legitimate number out of Fort Sam Houston. I recently scheduled a medical appointment, and this number called me, automated, to confirm my appointment time and date.

- igotthecalltooWe got the call from this number. Not a man, but a woman that kept asking us over and over again if we had any sales going on. We sell furniture. Not threatening. Just annoying.
- Caller: 210-221-1111
- tatI received a call from this number 210-221-1111 and it was from a Ft. Sam office trying to order supplies from a company that used to have my new number.
- SeanFirst not all civilian employees are part of the federal employees union.
Second caller IDs can be faked easy so the calls where it is the middle of the night creeping people out could be actually coming from some pervert. - overseasgot a call from this number at 9:08 pm, Central European Time on my cell phone here in Germany. Didn't answer it, but was curious so I googled it.
- Caller: 210-211-1111
- Rob D replies to HOOTIt's a reasonable assumption because civilian blue collar workers would be the only people employed at a military medical facility idiotic enough to be making crank calls.
- dreaMy husband called me from this number it is a landline @ Camp Bullis where soldiers deploy to do a 2 week FTX. The soldiers can not take cell phones into camp so they use this # to call loved ones. Maybe the creepy callers had the wrong number and thought they were calling a loved one?
- Caller: Fort sam houston
- PaulI own a business in San Antonio, Texas. Received a call from this number and the call was legitimate even though it seems like a scam number.
- Caller: Ft. Sam
- JasonD replies to vgr| 1 replyThis happens because your number is still located in the database of remedy tickets, from Ft. Sam Houston ESD. Your number may still be listed for a VIP.Contact USAMITC, and have them delete the records. It is usually the fault of the unit, who did not properly have your information deleted from the records. Hope this helps.
- TySome military installations utilize truncated systems (routing system)...meaning someone can call from any office on that installation and the number (210 etc) will show up for that perspective military installation.

- SJBI'm a university professor and get several calls a day from this number, always when I'm not in the office. They never leave a voice message. I can't imagine why they'd be calling me unless they've got the wrong number and are trying to reach our Veterans Affairs office.
- CurlyReceived legitimate call from someone I know that works there
- joeFt Sam - Family Medicine clinic
- RB| 1 replyGot a call just now from a woman stating that she was calling from the Army Medical Community Hot Line. Said something about a prostate test issue and was going to send me the information on an email. She also verified my last four and home address. She wanted me to call her back as soon as I get the email, which would be in a couple of weeks. I don't think I will open an email from anyone that I don't know, and I think I will watch my credit card and bank account closely and contact the police and the IT security folks. I probably gave too much information already. I called the number back and got a recording indicating the it was the Fort Sam Houston switch.
- Caller: The Army Medical Community Hot line
