Complete scam

I received a text message with the exact same wording about an outstanding balance that they've made several attempts to talk to me and I needed to call them today or my account maybe Frozen. I have had payday loans but none of recent and now I'm more confident that it is part of a scam based on other posts that people have left regarding this phone number.

Received a text from (771) 717-2446. Text Message stating "Hello (my name) We've made several attempts to get in contact with you in regard to your outstanding balance. We need to speak with you today or your account can be frozen, Call (210) 624-8625 today to resolve. To be removed from call list, Call us as this number does not receive text.

No one has been trying to contact me! They are either lying or have called the wrong number. Plus, they don't even say what account it is! I can't help them if they won't give me a way to easily verify their claim. Pretty useless phone call.

I received two texts "Hello (my maiden name) We've made several attempt to get in contact with you in regard to your outstanding balance. We need to speak with you today or your account can be frozen, Call 210-624-8625 today to resolve. To be removed from call list, Call us as this number does not receive text." and "Notice: (my maiden name). We've tried to contact you about your outstanding balance. Call us today at 210-624-8625 to avoid penalties on your account." I have zero accounts ever in collections or behind. It is clearly a scam.

Got the same message sent to my phone with husband's name

I’ve received Multiple texts that just began April 2025. Each text the same:
Hello MY NAME We've made several attempts to get in contact with you in regard to your outstanding balance. We need to speak with you today or your account can be frozen, Call 210-624-8625 today to resolve. To be removed from call list, Call us as this number does not receive text.

I finally called and asked for their address and business name, so that I a provide it to my attorney. The lady said she was with Mediation Accounts and they were looking for me. I repeated that I needed their address, so that my attorney could follow up with them. She hung up.

Hi Amy thank you for sharing this. I got this same text but they used "held" instead of "frozen" very strange

I was told told even though I didn’t confirm my identity that they were coming to serve me anyways after making several attempts.

The whole thing is a old scam, do not worry about it.
No one is going to come (or has even tried) to "serve" you.  It is simply a scare tactic trying to get you to pay them to stop from being "served" for a "lawsuit" about a "debt" that you allegedly "owe".
Even if you did actually owe a debt, these are not the methods a real legitimate debt collector would use, since it would violate Federal law.
