Why is it so easy for scamers to annoy you with calls but nothing in place to keep them from getting through to your number!  So ridiculous! !!!!!!!!!

Why can't Microsoft find these frauds?  Seems like it's a Microsoft issue since these people are claiming to be working for them.  I received a call from a male with a bad accent.  Sounded just like a foreign call center.  If I was misrepresenting Microsoft I'd be in jail.

They called this afternoon. Went to voice mail and did not leave a message. I received two calls from Houston, TX 832-251-7351 this morning claiming to be the IRS and they were taking me to court to sue me. I would bet anything the two calls are related to each other. I'm on the Federal do not call list for what it's worth...

The sad part is, this scam works at least some of the time, or they wouldn't keep trying. Cyber crime is the saddest thing ever...these people trying to get something from nothing. Sorry for the company in San Antonio that legitimately paid for this phone number, or scared the phone company issues numbers to front companies without any due dilligence.

Sounds like this scam is very very complicated if its been going on for a long time from the posts I've read.  Since Nov, I've received, 7 calls, one from Spring Valley, NY 845-459-2789, San Antonio, 210-807-3265, 210-807-4079, 210-807-4077, 210-807-3262.  This is a very elaborate, scheme.  Why isn't something being done about it?

Requested access to my computer because it was showing "alerts" at Microsoft. I asked for their address and his Microsoft technician number and of course he hung up. This person had a thick accent.

Rude guy , sounds like India, asking for me by name. Claimed he was calling because I "reported a problem" with Windows. Hung up on him after using extremely salty language and calling him out by nationality (politically incorrect). So much for the DO NOT CALL list that the crooks in Congress gutted!

I have received several calls from this number, claiming to be "Windows PC Services", telling me they have received error reports from my computer. I have repeatedly asked to be removed from their call list, and even have demanded they stop calling me, and they're still calling.
    • Caller: "Windows PC Services"

Obvious tip-off: The number on my answering machine started with an "11" before the phone number.  That means that the call originated off-shore.  I did answer, but said nothing, covering the mouthpiece.  The person asked for me by my first name; I'm sure he couldn't pronounce my last name.  Since they are off-shore, there's no way to stop them.

210-807-4079----210-807-4077-----210-807-3264------210-807-3262.....every time I put one on my blocked list, they use a new number....this is absolutely ridiculous....Microsoft imposter. can't get rid of all the scam out there. I usually let them go on voice
mail, but some time I answer, so I can keep them on the line and aggravate them, then put them on the block list.

You can aggravate them even more if you don't answer in any way at all. Letting the calls go to voicemail is the same as you answering the calls. Either way, they know your number works. Phone scams are harmless unless the calls are taken and the callers eventually get mad and tired of calling numbers that have no answer.

Good job Aggravated. Sounds like you turned the situation around and pissed him off.
I do that too every chance I get. It's fun and it doesn't cost a cent.

Call is definitely a scam.  If you don't give them any information you are safe.  However, they may call back if you insult them, etc.  Best method of handling them is to just say not interested and hang up.  The information they might have is info from the internet such as white pages or zabasearch.  Just make sure that you don't give them any credit card or bank information.

How many people have Norton security on there PC and have called for tec support... add them up and see, also other PC security systems can use the same tec support, but if these are the guys selling this info it might add up as this. 1. Did you use a cell phone number for tec to call you back if you were Disconnected, and is that the # you were called with to attempt scam you? 2. if you did not hang-up right away, did they get close to your PC issue? If these add up, damn good chance you had service call info sold... ending phone #'s 4079 4080. They tried to hit me once within a month of a tec call to Norton on a home phone 2 years back, now they are calling on my cell which was given to a Norton tec a year ago... don't get played as it seems these guys constantly change tactics.

Caller ID # came across my phone. Didn't recognize it and knew scams were initiated from this San Antonio #. Never pick up calls from #s not recognized. I block them all. If legit, caller can leave a voice message - they never do in my experience. Calls like this are coming several times a week!!!  Should be illegal.
