I didnt answer this call but i called back and the machine says i jus competed a testcall.

Annoying phone calls no voice no message just air

Called number back and it said "Completed a test call." Nothing about BMW etc.

Car warranty expired, yada, yada.. total scam. My vehicle is in my husbands name, meaning our warranty is also,  but they are asking for me, by my previous last name. Nothing with this vehicle is in my name. And they have the right vehicle. Asked the lady how she received my information,  refused to answer and hung up on me. Number is now blocked

ARRGGH I want to do something about this! I already reported this to the FTC, but there is no palpable action. I want to file a police report or something. Has anybody actually bought this service? I shouldn't take it personal.

Consumers Union has an article about this. The FCC will go after them if you classify the call as a robocall and they called your cell. Complain at the FCC.

They called my cell phone this morning.  I don't answer #'s I don't recognize.  If they should be in touch with me, they'll leave a message.  This caller, of course did not leave a message.

On my smart cell phone, I use an app called Mr Number.  It's excellent and tagged the # as probable spam.
It claims to be from San Antonio, TX. I don't waste my time talking to scammers.

Received a call from this number  on 3/3/15 and spoke with a nasty lady telling us that the extended warranty on our car was expiring.  I tried to reason with this person and told her that we never purchased a warranty from this company and that we had purchased it through out dealership and to stop calling us.  Another call received at 9:41 a.m.  Same telephone number in San Antonio, TX.  This time I recognized the number and just picked up the phone and put it down on my desk.  Harassing calls and our phone company cannot block these calls for some reason.

They call me at lest two to three times a month. They ask for a guy named mike I tell them wrong number and ask to be put on do not call list. But sure enough a week later another call. This last time the lady asked for mike I told her she had wrong number and she started to go into a speech about somthing. So I stopped her and said sorry you have wrong number and she just hung up on me.

Received a call from this number stating that it was Audi calling to extend my warranty, which had recently expired. The person stated that they had sent numerous mailers to my address (provided that address on the phone) and that I had not responded. They were asking for $750+/year to extend the warranty, but stated that I could get a discount if I paid it all up front. When I asked them to send me the written terms of the warranty, they said this was a limited deal that had to be dealt with immediately. That's when I knew this was a scam and looked up the number, only to find that they had called many more people with the scam. BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE!!

Got a call from them about extended warranty on my car.  SCAM do not do business with them.

Got a call about 10 minutes ago from 540-404-1495 and didn't answer it. It's those horrid auto warranty telemarketers. I blocked it through Verizon and just now got a call from this 210-892-2450. Obviously, they're the same people.

At the suggestion of someone on here, I've downloaded the app True Caller and will give that a try to see if it helps. So far, it hasn't identified either of these phone numbers, but I'll keep testing it.

I have received calls frequently from 20-892-2450 and always ask to be taken off their calling list.  They don't have the information regarding the warranty on my vehicle, just the make and year.  They don't know exactly when the warranty expires, either.  When you start to question them as to whether they are affiliated with your vehicle maker, they impolitely hang up.  They are a nuisance.  They call themselves "Motor Vehicle Services".

I got a call from them asking if I wanted to extend the warranty on my Toyota.  Thinking they were affiliated with Toyota and having considered getting the extended coverage myself, I allowed them to give me the information on the program; how much it costs, what it covers, etc.  Then of course they say I must make a decision to give them my credit card info or turn down coverage forever.  I told him I didn't feel comfortable giving that information over the phone so he said he would send an email to me if (for some reason) that would give me comfort.  The email was from VehicleServiceContract@plq138.fortedata.com which told me it wasn't Toyota and sent up my red flags even more so I told him I'm definitely not interested.  He then said, "If you turn this down, you will never be able to obtain vehicle coverage for this vehicle in the future."  A desperate last attempt that made me happy I declined and just sorry I gave him my email and time.  My advice: hang up if you get a call from here.  I don't see a company name anywhere on the email they sent.

Received two calls and a mailed notice from these people, telling me my extended warranty was about to expire on my VW. Smooth talkers. The "Finance" guy sounded legit, he explained all the different plan options on the 5 year and 3 year extended warranty and the different payment options. I don't remember what the name of their “company” was, but when I asked how they are related to VW, they said they received all the warrantee business from one of VW’s previous providers who were bought out by their company. The company name they gave did not match my actual warrantee (the real warrantee, that is NOT due to expire any time soon). Check your paper work and call VW to let them know these guys are hounding their customers.

Glad I didn't lose $400 to $600 dollars to these guys.

Got a call from the same number. I never answer unless I ID the number. You auto purchase information is provided to your local DMV and basic info is public. Name, make, model, phone. The don't provide VIN or and other details, but its enough to make you think they're legit. No answer, no worries.
