Yesterday it was about going back to school and today after being woke up I called back and yep moviefone. I am going to have some fun and waste their time and preach to them. Maybe that will get rid of them. Waste their time and don't give them any info.

Let’s have fun and waste their time if you have time. Why bust a blood vessel?  Keep them on the phone as long as possible, preach to them, give them wrong information, and waste their and money.  Call back and tie up their phones. Heck I’m going to have fun this time around, but then I have the time. Perhaps if we all do this it might end. Just be careful to not feed into their hate and get hate charges against yourself. Remember that the person on the line is a starving person in a retched country and is just doing what the 1%ers tell them. Report them or whatever. The main thing is to not let them get to you!!!

I keep having this number call me and when I call back it says it's moviefone.

got 1 call from them so far, didn't recognize the #, even though I have family in Manhattan with the same area code. thought it might've been one of them until I searched for this # online the same way it showed up on my Cell phone. now I know it wasn't a family member cause a normal phone call wouldn't have a + in front of the number. didn't leave a message, so I guess now i play the waiting game to tell them to stop calling. and in a way I hope they call while I'm at work, just so I can answer with not me talking, but my radio turned up LOUD. maybe if they get that as a response instead of me they won't be calling anymore. we shall see, LOL :-D            Caller ID: +2127773456

You are right!  I also noticed that the first complaint was dated back in July 2007 and as we can see nothing has been done about it.  I keep getting calls from this phone number too and it's getting out of hand.  The guys that call you can barely speak English and if you ask them questions about their company they hang uo on you!!  RUDE!!!!

There is one thing that concerns me the most about ANY unwanted and unknown number that calls all of us:  Who is giving these people our phone numbers?  Can it be our own bank? credit card company? cable, phone company?  This is kind of scary because: who can we trust?

I just received a call from this number (212-777-3456) 5 minutes ago.  This is a scam.  I am so sick and bloody tired of this crap!!!  How many jerks are out there preying on innocent people insulting their intelligence or upsetting them needlessly.  Any reported phone numbers doing this should be fined big $$$$ and the phone numbers should be retired and the phones rendered useless until the fine is paid.  If we can't stop the scammers by hanging up and reporting them, maybe we can punish them by taking it out of their pockets!  They don't deserve the luxury of a phone, they deserve PUNISHMENT!!!

Got a call from them today saying that they were my doctor's billing department. I am in LA so I asked them about their NYC area code. He said that he is calling from LA.
But he knew my doctors name and my last date of visit. Very suspicious - very weird!
I told him to follow up by mail and hung up on him.

He claimed he was from Microsoft and gave me my home address.  He wanted my computer's IP address to check for the error message.  I hung up on him.  My service provider confirmed that this was a BIG DANGEROUS SCAM to gain control of my computer.

A lady with a very heavy accent said she was calling from Microsoft regarding my computor. I told her I knew this was a scam and asked her if she would like me to call the police to deal with them. Of course she said it wasn't a scam! I requested they take me off their calling list....As this probably won't happen.....I will block the number!

This number has been calling me, and I would like for it to stop.  I have no business with them, and I have not provided my number to them.  I also have my number registered on the national do not call registry.

I just got a call and answered from these jokers. It is a SCAM. They say they are from Microsoft and that my computer is sending them errors. They tried to direct me to a Computer sharing program (ammyy.com) where they would have got accesss to my computer. As soon as I saw this is where they lead me I grilled them for names and addresses where they are and also their business number. He continued to call me names and then hung up on me. I am a semi intelligent computer user, I know enough to stop anyone from getting into my computer. what happens if they had called my parents who are not as swift and might beleave a joker like these guys. This scam has been going on too long. someone has to do something.

A hang up-first time--to Toronto Canada

As someone posted earlier, it is not the person on the phone that is at fault but his or her bosses.  That said, I tried to be reasonable and ask what they wanted but all I got was ordered to turn on my computer.  So I hung up and they called back 4 more times.  I will put them on Call Blocking from Bell (Canada) since that seems to be the only solution.  Until that is arranged I plan to waste their time but simply letting them talk without answering them.

they wanted my ISP and hard drive serial number claimed they were tech support, told them I didn't own a computer

Just received a call from this number. A man with an Indian accent tried to tell me that my computer has been downloading malicious software for the past few months. I told him this sounds like a scam. He got angry and raised his voice at me and said "Why is this is a scam! Tell me how this is a scam, I have not asked any information from you!" and then proceeded to be calm again and try to convince me that my computer is downloading malicious software. When I said "look I am pretty tech savvy and my computer is fine, but what are you selling"in an attempt to learn about whatever scam he was trying to run,  he hung up on me.

Landline listed as Stephanie Perez, Buffalo , NY .  Came home and call had went to ans machine, but they said nothing.  Happened several weeks ago and said something about security signs......Weird!!  Reporting to donotcall.gov  .

Just had this phone number show up on my phone. I ignore numbers I don't recognize so it was mostly just a noisy interruption.

My phone rings. When I answer no one ever says anything. I wish they would so I can curse them out.

I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.  I received 4 calls (within minutes) from this number, the man (East Indian accent) indicated he worked for Windows (unavailable name on caller ID) and that I had to get on my computer because they are receiving a report of an error with windows.  He was very insistent we had a problem and I had to become verbally abusive back to him (on the 4th call) and tell him to stop calling me.  So far, so good.
