Wow.  Some of these other reports are from more than a DECADE ago.  Caller ID said "New York NY" but I didn't recognize the number (my in-laws live in the city but THEY come up as such in caller ID).  I let the machine pick up.  No message left, just a dial tone....

And the schmucks called again TODAY....  Thought that number looked familiar....   I guess I'm going to have to be prepared in future, and have the file with URLS of annoying music lined up and open on my computer to play something "appropriate" the next time they call, so I can click on the link quickly.  Or, maybe I should answer it and say "FBI District Office".....

    (212) 777-3456 Live telemarketing (and suspect phishing) call recorded 8 March 2018 (India Jay from "The Pain Center", 'records indicate you are affected by back, shoulder or knee pain...') SCAM!
    Caller ID:
    "New York NY"

A misleading live screening, sales (and probably phishing) call suggesting that I may be eligible for a back brace to relieve pain if I have Medicare. These foreigners are trying to milk the system, and because they ask for the Medicare/Social Security number, I suspect it is also a phishing for identity theft scam, too.

I couldn't resist making a pun when she inquired if I had back or knee pain and I asked "my right knee or left knee?" and he guessed "both?" to which I replied 'Actually, I think it's my kid-knee.' Alas, he didn't understand. (see transcript, below)

Their "shotgun" approach to making mass phone calls, and their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethic, doesn't it?

Here is a transcript of their unwanted, intrusive, insulting screening and sales call:

[This] call is now being recorded.

[male India voice:] "Hi. This is Jay calling from the Pain Center. How are you?"

    [me:] "Hello? Fine."
[male India voice:] "Yes. Can you hear me ok?"

    [me:] "Can now."
[male India voice:] "Alright. Case our records shows that you have a chronic joint pain in your back. Is that correct?"

    [me:] "That is correct."
[male India voice:] "Yes you have a pain in your back, right?"

    [me:] "Correct."
[male India voice:] "Alright, and the reason that we're calling you is you have been selected to receive a new state of the art medical brace at little or no cost to you. So by the way do you have Medicare?"

    [me:] "Sorry, what?"
[male India voice:] "Um sir, do you have Medicare?"

    [me:] "Yes, I do."
[male India voice:] "Alright perfect, by the way have you receive a brace from your insurance in the last five years?"

    [me:] "No, never."
[male India voice:] "Alright well sir congratulations. It looks like you may qualify for a brace. So now would you go ahead and grab your red white and blue Medicare card. I'll hold while you get it. Okay?"

[me:] "Okay, you, you were breaking up. I didn't hear all of that. Could you repeat that?"
[male India voice:] "Oh, I'm sorry, you have a pain in your back right?"

    [me:] "Correct."
[male India voice:] "Okay, so congratulations 'cause it looks like you may qualify for our brace so now would you go ahead and grab your red white and blue Medicare card. I'll hold while you got it. Okay?"

[me:] "Oh, okay, uh it's in my wallet which is in another room.
[male India voice:] "Alright. Well, let me know once you have it, sir, okay?"

[me:] "Alright. It's going to take me a minute. Just a moment.
[male India voice:] "Alright sir. Alright. Well, did you remember your Medicare ID number, sir?"

[male India voice:] "Yes, how, yes, ten is the most painful, so how can you rate the pain level on your back from..."

There is 82 and more pages of complaints on here and Do Not Call is doing nothing about it? Why am I not surprised??? I get at least 3 calls a day from this number. Never have picked up on it. Today I decided to type it in and see what comes up. I got this site. I see I am not alone! If you have att for a cable or landline or internet you can go on your account and block up to 8 numbers. I don't have a cell phone and this is why. It gets so expensive.

I is not "expensive" since you can easily block thousands of numbers by getting a call blocker for around $30.  I can also see that you somehow think that the DNC will stop criminals from breaking the law, much as all the other laws prevent criminals from breaking them.  For instance it is really great that the law against murdering people has completely stopped that from happening.  Also it is really great that the law against driving drunk has completely stopped anyone from getting behind the wheel while intoxicated as well.

Called our business at 10:23am 03/22/2018 asking if I was the one who made decisions on Merchant Accounts or Credit Card transactions. I said I was merely a salesman & asked them what their name was again. The said "Secured Class... Review". Whenever they said the 2nd word. they intentionally mumbled it. I asked them again & once again they said "Secured Class... Review". I asked them one more time and they hung up.
