Whats really going to happen?  The DA office has been investigating them for years and they haven t done anything.  So what makes you think they are actually going to take down GDS.  The main reason is prob because they are headquartered  in the UK and they have no jurisdiction to prosecute.  GDS will continue to do what they do and the people who have made posts will continue to post there thoughts and experiences about this clever scam.  The scumbags and heartless [removed:lang] who have the title of manager will prevail.  And yes these are awful people that need to be called out.  The working environment and the type of people they employ is the reason why everyone who used to work there and have a soul cant stand that these people make a lot money by being horrible human beings.  

Its nice that this forum exist but lets be real, this company will not get busted.  So that means they will continue to employ naive college grads who will work in a boiler room and think they have found a real job where in reality they have become tools who main function is to swindle there clients money into the pockets of GDS upper management

GDS operates within the US, it therefore has to abide by US and state law. The fact that the parent company is based in the UK will make absolutley no difference in any legal case!

The least that could happen is GDS being stopped from trading in the US under that name, and also a ban on key named management operating there in the future.

GDS has also expanded rather quickly in recent times, whereas they were just another dodgy publishing/events company before, the way that staff lead source means that companies are harassed so often, it simply cannot continue indefinately.

I agree with the previous posts, people do need to come forward more freely with evidence to the relevant authorities in the US and the UK.

The way that staff are treated, I am amazed the company isnt swamped with tribunal cases alone, without any thing else they do!

The problem is nobody really cares, I look on here from time to time as I still know people working there, I dont like the company but I have got far better things to do with my time than try and take down GDS.

I feel relatively reassured that somebody will, they have obviously upset a lot of people in the past and quite clearly continue to do so!

Even if GDS is stopped I would imagine that ANOTHER COMPANY WOULD BE SET UP THE NEXT DAY TO CONTIUE THE GOOD WORK. Im not saying GDS should be allowed to continue, unfortunately I am not sure the concept will die any time soon.

All I would say is this, this blog has quite clearly illuminated prospective employees to the reality of the company. If people choose to work there for any period of time, particularly in the environment they are subjected, you have to understand that these people are better offf where are.

I personally dont want to work with a lying, cheating, caniving, backstabing egomaniac's. As such at least while GDS is open there are less of these characters filterning through into the world of 'Real business'

GDS continually produces substandard material in their publications. They are not circulated at all, the summits are not what the client expects and to cap it off they are not cheap!

Any business of this nature has a finite period of existance when they reach a certain stage. Look at a car manufacturer for comparison, if a car is badly built they go bust when enough people realsie they are crap!

This will inevitably happen here and I would go as far as to say, it is actually already happening. Staff are being pushed harder for figures, more and more are being brought in to the fold. New offices are being opened on different continets.

All of these factors lead me to two conclusions.

1. Gds is trying to suck as much cash out of the existing operations for absolutely as long as they can.

2. As a contingency measure, they have set up in sunnier tax free climbs for when the end finnaly comes.

GDS is a LTD company, they could quite literally shut down tommorow and let the debtors que up, as the company has no real expenses other than rent phones and wages, rest assured the people most badly hurt will be the employee!

I would imagine this will happen when figures drop off significantly and they shut the doors and reopen in foreign climbs. Ultimately leaving the hard working brainwashed behind (except a chosen few).

Guys if you do have hopes for a serious career in sales, then leave this company. You are not learning anything of any real value, high level sales does not operate in this manner as this is the most unproffesional comapny I have EVER seen!

If anything was ever released in the future on a large scale and all your experience is with company - trust me it will have extremely negative consequences for your carreer!

If you are in the unfortunate position of having no realistic opportunities in another company - i.e no qualifications, illiterate, fool etc.

Stay and save your cash -  you are going to need it when the time comes!

it tru gds has its unethical techniques,illegal cold calling routines and sales tecniques, etc.

also, its true that gds works with some of the biggest executives in the US and the conferences rebook a large amount of their customers as well, and that i no for a fact.  the people that do business with GDS are obviously very happy....happy enough to cough up another 60k year after year to rebook at the conferences.----

if u hate gds, fine. theres plenty of BS going on at this company on a daily basis, but this site is a little bit extreme.

and also, the DA will never shut down GDS or even investigate it for that matter. do u guys have any idea how many magazine and event companies have the EXACT same business technique-----marcus eveans, etc.  lets also not forget about the other 1000 borderline illegal sale houses in manhattan.

These US execs dont rebook continuously year after year - there are in fact very few rebooks, I would say the gong rings once in every 25 deals as a rebook. They are also usually for peanuts.

I once heard an SD (Laughs) claim he would come back with 100k in rebook business, in actual fact there were zero.

Another recent summit actually got one rebook! Also it needs to be mentioned that summits that have been in existance ofr some time are no longer scoring - why do you think is?

A fresh forum will always attract interest especially when you find out the most important exec's in the industry will be there (then dont show).

This site is not extreme in the slightest. Your spelling in your posts indicates your level of intelect as does your undersanding of GDS and the law.

Whilst it may be true that other illegal sales offices exist, very few have been in operation for as long as GDS and more to the point people are obviously not as upset by their working environment at these companies, otherwise bloggs such as this would exist.

The other fact you fail to realise is this, most boiler rooms do not attempt to portray their business as legitimate, this is not the case with GDS. As such a lot of bright hard working and honest people are led into this company by the propoganda, they then feel let down and feel their trust has been betrayed.

This is what is going to cause GDS the most difficulties. There are a lot of unhappy employees getting together to provide the relevant information to the relevant bodies in  the UK and the US.

Please do not comment on matters you do not comprehend!

Haha this blog is still going on. I am the most successful employee in gds history over a 2 month period. haha i worked there more than 2 months but anyway. Are you guys still writing about this. If your in new york try working at the spanish yellow pages who (u dont even wanna know) or metlife (the worst company in the world) or whos who, lol. Can you make over 900 phone calls in 1 day like I can, no, so go suck it. Anyway I am just bragging. I dont have any quarells with GDS. If they're doing anything wrong I'm sure they will get it and it just seems many people are using this blog as a form of therapy for a boss u hate or a cutthroat employee. And by the way as a former stockbroker and 12+ years sales professional cursing at people on the phone and so called harrassing them is not illegal.

the people at GDS need to post the new username and password to all the summits so we can contact the people and let them know that GDS is using their names to sell sponsorships. the majority of those people are not confirmed and it is wrong to be dropping their names to Vendor companies.

POST THE INFORMATION GDS EMPLOYEES! you did it before so do it again so we can let the companies know of GDS scams.

How do we know the GDSscam email doesnt go directly to spencer green?

A major client of GDS has spent over 300,000 dollars on advertising. the company is THINK BAM. F*** knows why, I still work there and heard Frodo scored the deal from a trainee, I would request someone let this company know what they are doing as I am not quite ready to go back the world of job unting untill after christmas :).

spencer is so far up his ass that he truly believes no one is taking this seriously and its all bitter ex employees that are spouting off! I heard him discussing this with Rich Stirk, both were laughing about it

Even if GDS gets shut down, Spencer Green is still going to be very rich and happy. We need to really hit Spencer where it hurts, we should consider different methods of exposing GDS.. Graffiti 'SCAM' on the front of their offices, send letters to his neighbours explaining what he does for a living, disrupt their training and recruitment by getting to the trainees and exposing the facts when they start... etc etc... Lets get creative people!

Well the thing is this.

Spencer has gotten away with this nonsence for a long time, he does also have three very plush offices in some very nice locations. However as GDS has grown so has the discontent of both employees and their supposed clients.

Certain publications are now quite literally on their [***] as absolutely nobody is buying as they know it is a scam. Also the format for each mag is going to be similar and as such people are going to smell a rat if a new publications is created. Summits are the same, people dont rebook as most clients think they are over priced, mediocre at best and also they dislike the way they have been sold.

Concerning this site however, If I were Mr Green or Mr Stirck I would indeed be concerned. In fact I know that they are! Why else would it become a sacking offence to look on this site during work hours, why else would they go running around to change passwords when the summit was posted on here a couple of weeks back.

This blogg graphically describes the operation of the scam and repeatedly singles out the same individuals (all senior directors) and their shocking, illegal and immoral behaviour!

I am aware of a host of laws which GDS break on a daily basis, all are quite serious in their nature aswell.

There will come a point in the not to distant future when the way they operate will begin to cause them severe problems. You simply cannot operate a business like this. Also for those of you that think you can, I have seen several companies face vast fines for not abserving the law, they have then eventually shut up shop and the directors were banned from running another company.

for all those who are worried, simply set up a fake email address, send us the project/summit/passwords and thegdsscam@gmail.com will do everything else. We will not publish any information apart from the responses we recieve from the people we point this out too.

If we dont get the emailed information, we cant make changes. Before gds no about it it will be too late, send the emails in confidence too thegdsscam@gmail.com and we will hit them hard and ensure the first gds know of it is when they are getting cancellations and complaints from our mails.

As a previous member of the management team, some of the comments on this site are just spiteful ex gds employees, who need to move on.
If clients wish to advertise then so be it. every company has a duty to do their due deligence before buying and follow up on their advertising.

As far as I know and this was the case when I was in NY, payment by clients is made after publication,the client should therefore ask for proof of distribution.

As for the personal attacks on current employees and their girlfriends, including spencer and his wife, then you are all as bad as the people you are claiming are fraudsters.

Have some dignity and if you really feel that the company is operating incorrectly then make an OFFICIAL complaint, instead of hding behind this site with an anonymous name and insulting individuals and making accusations without solid proof. And before any moron decides to respond to this message with an insult I suggest you look in the mirror and ask yourself, "what really is my aim"

And another thing, NO i am not currently at GDS, NO i did not get brain washed at GDS, I didnt like James Craven and I am definately not one of Spencers ass kissers.

I am just an individual who read this notice objectively and whilst some point MAY be valid many are just malicious insults at individuals.

I agree here 100%. The goal of this blog is to alert the public, potential clients, potential employees, and the like of what is going on at this organization. Specifically in reference to unethical/illegal business practices. Not what's going on in the personal life of employees, or to make ridiculous comments about employees. While opinions are certainly welcome, making cruel, lewd, and inappropriate comments only discredits this blog and the facts it presents.
Now, I wouldn't be surprised if GDS purposely posted some of these comments for this purpose. But obviously, many of them are made by disgruntled ex-employees and past clients. If you really want to make an impact, please say something smart, not offensive. The inappropriate comments only strengthen THEIR cause.
