I got a call from this number.  Didn't recognize the number but did recognize the area code which is California, Los Angeles (213).  I'm adding this number to my call block list.  Next time they call all they'll hear is "The number you are calling is not accepting phone calls at this time."  Hopefully they'll take the hint and stop calling my number.  If you don't have call blocking, then you might want to get it to stop calls from numbers that you don't want to hear from.

I would like to know how someone got that number.  I though the first the first digit of the seven digit phone number can not be a 0 (operator) or 1 (indicate a start of a long distance call - direct call)

I though an area code can have about 75% of the possible phone numbers combinations.  Example 305-911-1234 can't be used because 9-1-1 is for emergency call only.

I am from Dominican Republic, and I received a phone call from the number 1-213-000-0000 today, Tuesday December/27/2011 at 5:45 p.m., I felt intrigued for so many ceros in a telephone number. I read someone said that a friend from Israel called her with skype, maybe somebody is using skype to do this. But, I mean, is ridiculous, even a person from Spain received this call. Who is this person and does him wants?

It was my jury duty reminder :(  to call the night before to see if I had to show up for jury selection.

This call can apparently be official sometimes. I got one from it as a reminder for my jury duty with the US District court in LA and it didn't ask anything, just played a pre recorded message with no inputs. There's no way it could've known about my jury duty unless it was a court sanctioned number.

I guess a lot of people try to spoof this number or something.

This showed up as Maltez Electric Company in Los Angeles, California. Since I live in Virginia, I'm thinking it's  a telemarketer or some sort of scammer.

This number called at about 2:50 PM Central Time (Nov 1) and I answered and immediately hung up. The phone rang instantly 7 more times. It surely is a spoofed number because it's all zeros after the area code; so it might do no good to block the number.
