Just got the third call in a row from this number 213-289-5504 and although I have ignored it previously, since they're not leaving a message I decided to answer it this time. They asked my name (although mis-pronounced it terribly) I said Yes. He said he was "Lee Meriwether from Direct TV" and instantly he started rambling on about 100 words a minute. I stropped him mid-sentence and said, "Please stop talking and put this number on your DO NOT CALL LIST" he continued to talk and kept repeating my name over and over saying, "Please Ms.-----Let me finish" I just held firm and started repeating very loudly PUT THIS NUMBER ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST" I must have said that about 15 times and he just kept interrupting.

Finally I said, "LET ME SPEAK TO YOUR MANAGER NOW!" he said "Yes one minute" and put me on hold for at least 5 minutes. In the meantime I could hear yelling and screaming in the background. Finally a nice calm young woman got on the phone and asked what the problem was. She was not being rude, so I calmly asked her to remove my number from the call list. She repeatedly the information back to me and said it was removed. I told her thank you and have a nice day.

Hopefully that is the end of it.

Get calls several times a week. It says its from Directv but when I answer there is nobody there. Never leaves a message.

Call almost daily- drives me nuts!!! they need to stop harassing me!

Most likely it's Direct TV but I don't answer any more because I'm tired of being pressured to pay for channels I will NEVER watch.

i started getting a call from this number but when i do not id the number i do not answer but will google it later as i did with this number.

also im getting calls from 888-528-6884 this to is an unwanted call.

It's a fishing call telemarketing for satelite tv.

I just started getting calls from this number and it is DIRECT TV. I do no answer and they always leaves a message welcoming me and telling me about some feature to check out. A little annoying but harmless! I like DIRECT so well that I am not going to complain.

213-289-5504. Claims DirecTV. LA based number. Tried to offer me HD and upgrades, but I already have HD for life and the highest package. This is a phishing scam! I called DirecTV and verified that no one from the company made any offers to my package.

213-289-5504- the automated message says "thank you for calling power direct." I don't know if they are apart of DirecTv or not but if they call again, they will be getting a piece of my mind. From all of the posts, it definitely seems like a scam. Definitely do NOT need any new channels either

I canceled direct tv about 3 weeks ago.  This phone number has called me about 5 times this evening alone.  I called them back and they want 7-10 days for the do-not-call listing, she also stated that direct tv has business with me.  I argued that point - I wish they would just leave me alone.

I've been calls anywhere from once every other day to twice a day. I never answer because I do not pick up numbers that I do not recognize that are not from my local area. Always leaves a voicemail, but the voicemail is blank every time I listen to it. If they aren't going to leave a message, it's not worth it to me to try to call back to find out what they wanted. But it is getting annoying to keep having these calls...

The call is coming from a Directv outbound calling center. They are calling to try to get upgrades added to Directv customer accounts. They upgraded my account and added 6 or 8 additional free HD Extra channels that doesn't come with the regular HD packaged. Free for first 3 months and $4.99 a month (normally $10) there after.

Never leaves voicemail. If I answer it just hangs up after 30 seconds. No one ever speaks. Calls almost every day and starting to aggravate me.

I answered and they said they were affiliated with a publishing company and wanted to see if I renew my magazine subscription.  It was weird.  They knew the last 4 of my credit card number, name, address and where I work but they asked for my birthday and to take a recorded survey to cancel the subscription.  I hung up on them.  They've called back about 10 times in the past 2 weeks never leaving a message.
