going to track down the sucker and sock him in the face

same number called me at 2:24am, my phone says los angeles, ca.. i dont know anyone from there myself, how the hell did they get my number. i did manage to answer cuz i have people calling me all the time from different numbers around the country and it was just heavy breathing, i asked who it was couple times and no answer so i just hung up thinking it was a prank call. decided to google the number and behold tons of people got the same call from the same number.

By carefully noting the jobs he claimed to have had, I could tell that he had bought profile data from certain journals I subscribe to and provide regular 'qualifying information' to in order to continue receiving the publication.

I successfully burned 15 minutes of his time.  As soon as I told him I was a fake profile that baits telemarketers he said: Oh my goodness." and hung up!

This number belongs to an online faxing service.  When you sign up you get to send several faxes for free to any number in the U.S.  I just used this service to test my fax machine and it worked as expected.

If you received a call from that number, in all likelyhood, someone put your number in their system and requested that a fax be sent.  The system does not know the difference between a voice call and a fax call.  It will dial the number and continue to retry (probably 3 times) and then fail the number in the report.  If it happens more than that its because the fax was resubmitted.

Hey, I also get these phone calls.  Most of the time they come from a restricted number, but recently this phone number has been calling as well. Anyone know what it's from or how to get rid of it??

I have been dealing with a guy who is running MAJOR FRAUD SCHEME and claims to be a manager of a BOSWELL CAPITAL GROUP, a company that is doing major FRAUD on a FEDERAL level and when he returned my phone calls today on my cell phone, they came from this number. But he was on the other end of the line and I spoke to him. He is using the alias, Peter White.
Every one should search Google and search Boswell Capital Goup as there are many other company names they use. DONT BE THE NEXT VICTIM!

This company is in NOT LEGITIMATE! They scam money!!!!! They do not even exist at the address nor do other company names which they use have been proven by the BBB to use. They have scammed hunders, perhaps thousands of poeple out of money by convincing them to wire money to CANADA with the promise of a secured installment loan. They took my money almost immediately from a location in Calgary_AB- CANADA where they have you wire the funds. This is has been deemed a FEDERAL CRIME by authorities.

MORE IMPORTANTLY: TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!!! This is a FEDERAL CASE and likely ran from CANADA. I have been told by Wilmington, North Carolina (NC) detectives, that the NC Attorney General needs to receive a few hundred complaints in order to get the FBI involved. We need the FBI to help us but they need to do it quickly. It sounds like this company will not be around for too long and the sooner the FBI is involved, the more likely we will have found these [***].

Everyone should also file a complaint to the CANADIAN police department for the city in which they wired their money. this is odd...I got a call from someone I know who said he needed help; however he told me he was in Viahermosa, Tabasco Mexico and the number that came up on my cell phone was 213.291.1900.  I looked up the area coded 213 came up to central Los Angeles, I then googled the number and the website came up.  I don't understand.

This seems to be a routing number.  I got a call from a friend in Canada, however this is the number that showed up on my phone when he called, not his actual number.  He has a phone service that allows free calls to anywhere in North America.  They seem to go through this number.

When I get calls from my mom in Costa Rica, sometimes her actual number does not come up on the caller ID, but this or another random 213 area code number does. It must be some sort of glitch between the US and foreign phone carriers that causes these 213 numbers to show on the caller ID if the call is coming from Central (or South based on some of the comments) America.

My dad called me from his computer and this is the number that showed up.

This number has called me several times as well, I just got a call from the. It is 5:00 pm, and I'm in Tennessee.

I just got a call from this number, and it's 10:01am pst.  I answered, said hello twice and it hung up on me.  I called the number back and got a recording that sounded like a number you call that has been disconnected.  We are on the Do Not Call List, and I would like these phone numbers to stop calling as it is now considered harassment because we are on the DNC list, and they are calling my cell phone which isn't free!!!

Received a call from this number at 4:53 p.m..  The phone only rang twice.  While I was looking up the number on Google, the phone rang again at 4:55 p.m.  Man on the other end was speaking SPANISH, and I said 'hello' twice.  he asked me if there was anyone in the household that spoke Spanish, and I said no (and I don't).  He said sorry for the inconvenience, and then hung up.

Could it be a calling card? I'm from KY and received a call from this no. When I called it back it was busy. When I called it back today, it's disconnected. So I don't know.
