I just received a call 10 minutes ago (I'm in Brisbane), from John Aston (with a thick Indian accent) from Once in a Lifetime Holidays, same phone number, he had all my details apart from my credit card number, went through the same 'free' holiday to Cancun etc but then said there would be Govt taxes to pay of $599 blah blah, he then said he had done his part of the job and was going to transfer me to his manager, which is when I hung up. Same initial automated recording from 'Rachel' as well. I am a fairly suspicious person normally but was half convinced for a while so please be careful!!

I also had a call from Once in a lifetime holiday. But because he knew so much about my account address and name I fell hook line and sinker for his offer. Overnight I kept thinking about it and decided to ring Mastercard this morning. Much to my dismay $586 had been taken from my account at the time of the call. So my cards have been cancelled so the BBBs can't get anymore. I feel such a fool but I hope this will help someone else not to be silly like me. 22-8-08.

    Cheers for the site,
I received a call today 23august in Australia. Same thing I had won a 14day holiday to Florida and Cancun. All I had to do was verify my security 7digit on the back of my m/c and my expiry date. Kept telling this indian if I have won, for supposedly using my mastercard, you tell me the digits. He told me in no uncertain terms that they were in front of him and he had to confirm them as I may not be the cardholder. I argued with him for over 48mins. Hope that cost them some money!!!! Sadly, I was half sucked in to doubt myself as mastercard does actually have promotions. I was told $599AUD and was told they would be putting me through to a verification/call centre. First, I was told it would be a 90second recording in which I was not to ask any q's to just answer. I continued to answer no, to the question" Do you agree to pay $599AUD for this Once in a Lifetime holiday. He put me through to his superviser who continually begged me to believe that this was not a scam, could I just answer yes, but they wouldn't debit my credit card until all details had arrived. He promised me I will see you in Florida sometime with your family next year. I promised him he would be waiting awhile then hung up. Yes, a quick phonecall to our financial institution and many expletives later we have cancelled our card. Can't believe I WAS SUCKED IN ENOUGH TO CONFIRM DETAILS!!!!! I am normally so anal when it comes to personal information.

I just had these scammers on the phone. Won a holiday? Yeah? Well, I dont remember entering a comp... so they get my address to send their 'bumf'. You'd think that would be end of call right? Nope, they try to transfer you to their 'VISA' department. LOL!!!

When you say the word 'scam' they hang up. Before that they pass you to their mate though.

They try flattery, they talk bs about the places.

The main clue is this: I've WQON THE HOLIDAY. WHY ARE YOU TRYING SO DAMN HARD TO SELL IT ME!!!

We've been getting these calls during the daytime (UK) maybe a couple of times a week (maybe more - but I'm not always in during the day).  Normally I'd just hang up, but I listened to the entire message to see if I could get company details.

The recorded message starts "This is Rachel from the Rewards Department" and explains that "the form that you or someone in your family submitted" was selected.  We apparently have won 6 days on a beautiful beach in Cancun.  The message is played twice, each time asking me to press 1 to get through to an operator.

I was suspicious about how much it might cost, so I hung up and then did a bit of research before finding this site...  I then called +1 213 537 1099 from my work phone :)  I got through to a guy with an Asian (Indian?) accent and I asked the address of the head office.  He wouldn't actually give me the address, and instead passed me on to his "supervisor".  The "supervisor" told me the company was in Tacoma, Washington.  The address he gave me was a stroke of comedy genius - "354 Tacoma Street".  I started reading back the Orlando address, and he confirmed the same address as has already been posted previously.

I've reported the call to TPS here in the UK, but I'm not sure how much they can do about calls coming in from outside the UK...

    Rachel from the Rewards Department
She calls me two or three times a day and her calls last about 4 minutes.  Even if I hang up on her she ties up my phone line until she is finished.  If I pick the phone up to make a call, or to dial 1471 to get the previous caller number, she's still there.

1471 gives different numbers each time I do it.  Today's was 01234567890 and yesterday evening was 001122334455.

Have spoken to the TPS but they want to know the name of the company and their phone number.

I just want her to leave me alone!

American female voice introducing herself as Rachael from the Rewards Department and I had won a trip to Cancun.  The message played continuously on a loop.  I hung up and over 10 minutes later when I went to use my phone the loop was still playing.  I ended up pressing every single key on my keypad (including 1) to try to get through to someone so I could terminate the call to no avail.  I hung up and eventually they did too.

I called the Do Not Call Register on 1300 792 958 to make a complaint.  They are aware of the issue and it is being investigated by the authorities in Australia, The UK and THe USA, but this is the first time that they have heard of them tying up phone lines for extended periods of time.

I would recommend that people continue to lodge complaints to the Do Not Call Register either by phone or online to keep reminding them that this is a serious issue and the phone calls are getting longer.  I'm just lucky that my keypad wasn't working to get through to someone.
