- Oxford, Indiana| 6 repliesCaller explained that she was from the copier company and was updating their records. She said she would start by asking me to read from the front of the copier the model #. I asked what company she was with and she said the distribution center and then stated that she needed to update the records and asked if I was the proper person to speak with about this. I said yes, but what company are you from? Then she disconnected the phone call.
- Jimmy C replies to Oxford, IndianaThose copier things are total scams. They get your copier info and your name. They already have your number and address. So nce they get the info from you they start shipping supplies and billing huge sums for it. When your payables questions the bills, many do not and they make out, they say tat you ok'd the order. Be careful of these folks. Same as the folks who claim to be from Microsoftand doing a survey of your computer model and serial #s, and many other leading companies. If you are not expecting a call from them, odds are they are not really calling you... lol
- Not Falling for That| 1 replyI received a call from this number this morning. When the woman began her schpiel about my copier I hung up. The phone rang again a second later and she asked "Ma'am, why you hang up in my face?" I said, "Oh, I'm sorry, with whom am I speaking?"
Her very clever response was "f$*@ you" and she hung up. - TeoThis woman called me today, August 15, 2007.

- These people are going to hell...Caller said his name was "David Graham" and he was from our copier company. Apparently, they had called previously & somehow got the model of one of our copiers. When he was told I was unavailable & offered my voicemail, he promptly abused our intern who had answered the call, ranting that he was offered voicemail every time he called, and it was "getting really lame." She apologized, and his immediate response was, "Yeah, you're sorry! You answer phones for a living."

- cblCaller said his name was "David Graham" and he was with Xerox. He wanted to check on our toner needs. When he was told I was not available he told my receptionist she wasn't very good at lying. Then he hung up on her and continued to call back about 12 more times; cussing at people, making derogatory comments, etc... very very rude.... what a waste of time... these people need some serious counseling!

- AudreyA woman called from this number this morning, wanting our copier model. Having heard of this scam, I thought I'd have some fun with her. I asked the reason for her request, and she told me she was updating her records. I asked the name of her company, and she told me Supplies Plus. When pressed further as to why she needed to update her records, she could not say. I finally asked if we did business with them, and she claimed we did. When I asked who it was that had opened an account, she hung up. A shame too, as it is only the boss and me in this office, and I was just getting warmed up for the mind games.
- Caller: Supplies Plus

- ---Calls started this week. 4 different times already. Say they are from PCS copies and that we buy our toner through them. We do not and after correcting them and trying to be removed from the call list they proceed to tell us they are just doing research for a manufacturer. We have told them each time that we don't buy through them, each time they had a come back. We asked for a supervisor and he(who was the same person i had spoken to the previous day) said the woman was having computer problems. Then they make a witty remark and hang up. The last person I spoke to said his name was James.
- Caller: said it was "PCS Copiers"

- wisconsin retail manager replies to Oxford, Indiana| 1 replyI've gotten these calls at work all the time- they always hang up when you ask what company they are from. Also, she told me she was with the corporate office distribution center of my company, but we do not receive any supplies from them. Total scam
- hford5302| 1 replyOMG this company really makes me mad! I asked to speak w/ a manager last time and the "manager" got on the phone and told me to stick a pencil up my a**! I don't know who taught these people how to run a company, but they really are rude! They always hang up on me. My caller ID said "Complete Data S" my caller id cut off the rest of the word.
- EGRA guy called and claimed he was from the warehouse supply for the copier and needed to verify information. It is a BS call and they will send you toner and charge a crazy fee. Never verify any information over the phone or you will get $600 toner.

- Chad| 1 replyGot *another* one of the "copier supply" calls today. Decided I would mess with him a bit. "Ralph" informed me that he was calling with the company we buy our copier supplies from. (Keep in mind, we buy them from a small, local shop.) They were sending out a new catalog and he needed to verify a few pieces of information to be sure that he was sending out the correct catalog to us. He wanted our copier make and model #.
I told him that he should already have that information if he was already supplying us with copier supplies. He said that he didn't and that's why he was calling.
I said, "That's because we don't buy supplies from YOU," to which he replied back (sternly) "Yes you DO."
I replied back, "No we don't. I'm the OWNER and I know where ..." but before I could finish he hung up.
We've gotten so many of these calls in the past, usually for the copier, but occasionally for office supplies and paid print advertising . I had already had a rotten morning and decided I would pass it along to this idiot on the other end of the line. Try it sometime, it's kind of fun! Made me feel a bit better!- Caller: Ralph
- Anonymous| 1 replyA man called and said that he needed the number off the front of our copier because he wanted to send us a new catalog. He also mentioned something about everything "going green." I asked, "So you are our copier vendor?" He answered, "yes," which is a lie. The call was from California, and we use a local vendor. I asked, "What company are you calling from?" At that point, he hung up on me.
