214-261-9281, 866-400-3550, 866-369-8959, 866-900-6906 all are from Anderson Crenshaw and it is the same story each time they call. Firts it is a recording that calls, then it connects you to an obvious collector who will not identify the debt, who it is from or why you owe it. The just want payment. They will not supply any information, however, thanks to the Internet and sites like this, I ahve been able to identify them. Now I will have a way to fight back. Withotu an address, one cannot even have a written record of reply to deny the debt and insist that they stopo calling.

    Harassed Enough
Calls from 214-261-9281 three and four times a day, all hours.  Asks for person unknown to me.  Will not accept that I (male, 65) am not "Patricia Clemmons."  He is extremely rude and called me an "elitist pig" when I asked to speak to supervisor to explain I want collection calls stopped.

Harrassing me and I've had enough
I have also been receiving calls from this same company saying I owe a debt of 268.00 re: Ranger American Security bill/ADT.  I told them I do not have Ranger Amercian for my security system and never did, they could not tell me my address, reference #, or account number for the security system and they only call me on my work line.  I called ADT who I do have for my home security and they said I owe nothing.  I already knew that because I pay all my bills on time and have perfect credit.  Today, they threatened me with ruining my credit and I told them if they even try doing that I will sue them.  Who are these people?  I also told them to fax me a copy of what they have showing us it is from Ranger American with a reference # on it.  I have not received anything.  I spoke to a Claudia Diaz which I'm sure is not her real name. The first girl who called me, I wrote her name down and then at the end of our conversation I asked for her name again and it was totally different than the first one.  I called her on it and she said it was her middle name.  These people are slick talkers and I would recommend not giving them any information.  They do need to be stopped.

these people called me saying i owe a debt which i clearly do not. they did give me a reference number but instead of saying they were a collection agency, they tried to act like they were attorneys on retainer. i called back and asked if they were a collection agency and i was told yes. i told them i would not give them anything until they can send me some info to forward to my attorney, they said ok, we'll see.

04/11/08 6:00pm we received a call from this same company (Anderson, Crensh) of Texas. They said that we owed a bill from 04/2005 of $1200 and some dollars that they could not verify where it came from, and we requested them to fax to us and they wouldn't and then a "supervisor" got on the phone and harrassed us and threatened to ruin our credit and have us arrested in our state stating that we bounced a check from 2005 which was 3 years ago they say. NOw that they say it is us and if we do not give them payment ASAP that they will put a lien on our house and wages and see us in court. What are they thinking. Now they are harassing us at our house and business constantly. What can we do about this. Apparently we are NOT the only ones having this problem. It looks like they either intiminate people into paying or just continue to harass them into paying.

I've received two calls from 214-261-9281, and the caller ID shows Anderson, Crensh.  I am not in default on any bills, I know this for a fact, and there is no reason for creditors to be calling me.  I've received a number of calls from other creditors as well, searching for a Darrell Jones.  I've called those people back and explained to them that they have the wrong phone number, and Darrell Jones does not live here and I have no idea who he is.  They took my number out of their system, and I've only received one or two phone calls since then.  I'm guessing this is for the same thing - I may need to change my number...

First of all the lady didn't know how to pronounce my name.  Hello?  Robyn...is it that hard? Next she started out telling me I need to pay, it has been long enough.  I told her they have the wrong amount, and that I have filed a lawsuit against the "original" creditor.  She asked why it took me so long, and I need to send her the information because she didn't belive me.  I told her she can talk to the "original creditor" next week when they are served.  She called me a lying [***].  wow.  real professional.  I then hung up on her.

I've been called 2x by a Miss Drew, regarding an issue for my neighbor that is, "none of my business." I told her that because she is calling me it now IS my business! I called back her supervisor and complained about her being rude. The phone call digressed into a shouting match when he was more rude than his employee.

If you are home when these people call and they ask for ****** just say "hold on" ever so nice and then just set the phone down or listen in quietly until they hang up.. it is a great way to waste their money and time...let them stay on the line as long as they want just don't talk.
These kind of collectors have no relationship with your original creditor, by the time they get your name and number your acct has been written off and any money they collect is there's to keep AND they will not clear your credit report if you pay them because they don't care!

Someone from this number called me on my cell phone on 3 July 2008.  He insisted that I was in breech of contract and that there was a civil lawsuit against me from Security First for an alarm system that was put into my house.  He was extremely rude.  He rattled off an address to me and I told him that wasn't my address.  It was obviously someone who lives in a different city with my name.  He told me he needed to look into this matter further. I chewed his A$$ out!  I'm gonna go and check my credit report now to make sure he didn't screw it up!  These people are TROUBLE!

All these ppl leave are a name and number to call back, but nothing else.  I'm glad this site is here to find out who they are.  I do know they can be sued for giving out other ppls private information, just like hospitals and banks.  Threaten to sue them for giving out strangers information to you over the phone and they might stop calling you.

I actually recently received a letter from this Anderson, Crenshaw & Associates a few weeks ago claiming I owe a company called Empire Capital Services in the amount of $492.50. I am in the process of paying off my debts and have never had any dealings with this company. I wrote Anderson Crenshaw a letter disputing this debt. Today is the first time I received a call from them. They left a voicemail with no info (I googled the phone number) and some woman who didn't identify herself left a message stating to call her back.

We'll see what happens after they get my letter.

I got a call from Timmothy Culpepper and he was rude as Hell.  He told me that i owed $492.50 from Empire Capital Services which I also saw someone posted here.  He kept repeating my SSN on the phone and me being on a cell phone i asked him not to.  He said, "i can say it over and over again it doesnt matter".  I asked for a supervisor and requested for the call to be recorded at that time he hung up saying he would get me one and the call would be recoreded.  What a Jerk!!!

I received a phone call from this number today. he said i owed $200 for something that i paid off over a year ago. he claimed to be an attorney for DirectTV and that he was responsible for telling me that I was going to be taken to a small claims court if I did not pay him. I had apparently forgotten to pay a fee, often unnoticed in the contract, that had been acquiring interest over the past year.... or so I was being told. So i called DirectTV. They promised me that I owe them no money at all and gave me a reference number to prove it. So, i tried to call that number back and only got a couple of songs played to me while i waited for the next available operator... then i called from another number and had the option to leave a voicemail because Mr. Crenshaw or whatever his name was, was not in.

I told him I spoke fluently 6 languages and have a PhD form reputable US University.  I also called him an [***]
