You are all fools. I got tired of reading the first page of comments about this number and people are treating it like it's some kind of blog. What you need to understand is that ANYONE can make up a phone number and a name for caller ID and with the right equipment, use it to place calls for illegitimate purposes. I spoke to a gal in the Vice President of AT&T's office for the Midwest region, and she said the FCC is really pissed off over this, and they have no way of tracking them. My part has been to post an average of 6 complaints per day with the FCC. I have posted well over a thousand complaints with these do-nothing people, and they are passing the buck to AT&T, who says I have to contact the police, and they say I have to have my life threatened or they need to have a formal complaint with evidence from AT&T to do anything. These criminals have the ability to target you DIRECTLY, and they can do it by making it look like your neighbor is calling you. For months now I get calls from "Card Services" from numbers only a couple digits different than my own, and with all kinds of name headings of "SURVEY", "NOT IN USE", "XXXXXXXXXXX CO", and they spoof numbers from Shell Oil Company and those of Dial Up Service computer lines. They can and DO make themselves appear to be anything they want you to think, AND IT'S A FELONY, however "Ken" at AT&T 888-958-3030 ext.6217 will argue with that saying it's not illegal for numbers to be spoofed, and somebody from the States Attorney" office needs to have a talk with that [***]. One of my complaints is that this is done MOST LIKELY with the phone company's blessing, because THEY MAKE MONEY OFF IT. They sell you call blocking and privacy manager and all kinds of crap that doesn't work, and it is DONE ON THEIR SYSTEM. How long would a restaurant stay in business if they let thugs and hooligans in to harass the customers while they eat? Our only real recourse is to tell the phone company to shut our phones off so we can save some money and reduce the aggravation, and I also keep saying that people need to post REAL info about where these criminals are and their names if they find out so some good old fashioned justice can be handed out. As it stands right now we are all getting a 3 way circle-jerk from the FCC, the phone companies and the FTC. OBVIOUSLY whatever they are doing IS AN EPIC FAIL. One criminal told me that most of these strokes are EX ACORN workers that were given these jobs by some goofy behind the scenes "community organizer" outfit, and they WANT to get the public cranked out of shape, because "it's good for business"..... WHO'S business? Is that why when I asked another for an address of where to send a formal letter to be taken off the calling list, they told me 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC ?? ( the White House). AND WHY IS THERE NO "CRIMINAL" in the list of call types below?

You are 100%  correct!   It seems that those who have the biggest mouths have the smallest brains.   So,   Ziggy,   don't try to confuse them with the Facts!      Your post has made  more sense that the total of all others combined.

Good answer. Better yet, instead of your blood pressure raising when you receive these calls, invest in a call blocker device which requires the caller to press a number to ring through. I haven't talked to a telemarketer in 8-9 years since purchasing one of these devices.

Got this call from 213-283-1316  They hung up before I could answer and didn't leave a voicemail.  Not a number in my address book so likely some sort of scam.  For some reason this summer, I'm getting a slew of such calls that I never previously got.  Don't know what I did to deserve this but it's a real nuisance.  No idea who the caller was.

Criminal TeleScam survey for personal information.  Calls to my cellphone at lunchhour, without any permissions, or linked authorizations. Violating Federal and CA Do Not Call Registry Laws.

7:20 pm 8/5/14 2nd call  today from this number. I don't answer unless I know name or recognize the number. When answering machine picked up, caller hung up.

Bogus automated survey.  Uses spoofed phone number and ID "WIRELESS CALLER."  Questions asked were all over the place.  Like, how old was my car and do I expect to buy one soon.  Ya think I'm going to get spammed by car dealerships soon?  Survey says BS!

The caller, Wireless Callin ( displayed on my phone as ID. ) called us @6:54 P.M., 08/13/2014. I received a Wireless Caller 818-468-8079 called us  @ 3:08, P.M., 08/06/2014. I did not answer since I do not know them.
Today, I returned the call right away. The  number is not in service. Many people reported this  unwanted number to www.800notes.com since 03/13/2007, total 54 pages as above.
I dialed   *1-214-283-1316 to block future call from this number per Verizon Phone company's instruction.
I reported to www.donotcall.gov & www.fcc.gov/complaints.The later can find the person & fine  them 4.100.00.00 to $200.000.00 USD.

Called our office at 7:51 PM last night. Caller ID said "WIRELESS CALLIN" <2142831316>. They hung up before navigating our IVR.

Get calls at 6:30 PM to " remind me of an appointment" Calls are automated , also states " will call you back in a few hours to remind you of appointment"  this is a scam . I don't have an appointment , the call is from  Dallas Tx, I live in another state.  I reported them to my phone company.

Call my number but caller says nothing when I pick up.

I received a call from 214-283-1316 on 8-19-14 at 7:29 p.m. Eastern time.  No one spoke when the phone was answered, they just hung up.  By what I just saw in postings, it was a survey co.?  I am on a no call list that was recently renewed by me once again, to be sure I was still on it because even though I'm on the list, calls still come in.

People who make these calls, need to get something better to do, than harass people

This number is now added to the dreaded call blocker, this is the best defence & money best spent to rid of this kind of crap.
NOTE / FYI: The DNC is a government run program, don't expect it to work efficiently.

Can calls from this number be stopped?

Unfortunately putting them on the FCC list does nothing  Putting your number on the DNC list is also not working.

I received a call from this number. When I saw "survey" I did not answer and of course they didn't leave a message. I get so tired of this

bought a CPR call blocker from Amazon they block 1200 numbers this seems to be the only way to get rid of these creeps

Well why did you answer the call if you didn't recognize the number????  YOU PAY the bill and it is your option NOT to answer.  If you don't have phone ID, then make it where your friends and family, ring once, hang up and ring again.   Seem this generation of kids feel they just have to answer the phone.  I'm just being kind to you so don't answer the phone UNLESS YOU KNOW WHO IT IS.
