just got a call from he number...didn't answer.  no message

I keep getting calls from this number as well, but with no message. My caller id says: Seasoville, TX...

I finally got this company to tell me their name. They are Global Contact Services. Apparently Bank of America sells them customer lists and then they contact you under the guise of BoA.

Received a call about our credit card (Capital One) being flagged for a suspicious purchase of groceries at the same store that we shop at every week.  Eight days later we receive a call from the same number claiming to be Bank of America trying to sell us on a credit monitoring service.  So either Capital One sold our info to Bank of America, Bank of America is monitoring our credit card without our knowledge or somebody else is and the whole thing is a scam.  The whole thing is very suspicious but I don't know what to do about it.

We have caller ID so NEVER pick up unknown numbers, but 214-506-7160 which comes across on caller ID as Bank of America has been calling for MONTHS! How do you put a stop to these calls. It's annoying.

As mentioned previously, the scam outfit's name is Global Contact Services out of Seagoville, TX and has NOTHING to do with Bank of America.
Probably the best thing to do is call Bank of America and report it, since this scam outfit is using BOA's name on their Caller ID and is giving BOA a bad name - not that Bank of America were bright and shiny to begin with :-)
BOA should have enough clout to put an end to those scammers, if enough people call them.

I received a call today too.  It shows up as Sea9oville Texas, which is why I wouldn't answer it.  Turns out it is Bank of America.  I have also gotten a ton of calls from them where Bank of America does show on the ID - the first time it happened, I grabbed it, thinking somebody had compromised my account.  Then found out they were trying to sell something, so said no thanks and stopped picking up.  Today, this new number shows up.  They are getting super aggressive with their telemarketing - must be trying to make up for all the losses from the subprime mortgages they wrote...

I've been receiving calls from this # and today they actually had the decency to leave a message.  The gentleman said my full name & then proceeded into this script-like message and towards the end he said something about this matter is a debt-collecting matter.  I'm a B of A customer, however I have no debt w/ them.  I don't even have a credit card w/ them.  Go figure!!

i keep getting calls from this number every day. It's Bank of America and appears to be some sort of scam. When I call back they put you on hold and you can not leave a message.

I get calls from this number almost everyday, also say BofAmerica to monitor my credit.  It apears on the caller ID Seagoville TX... I didn't think about blocking the number, will look into it.

yes i got the call also, and after my name they started monitering the call, and told me my address. in the process i was looking the number up and thought it to be a scam. i hung up and called bank of america and sure enough, bank of america would never call for something like that. yes they would bring it up if you called them. so it is def a scam call, im 18 and i just established good credit for myself. i do not need some1 to screw that up for me

I got multiple calls from this number with the caller ID saying Bank of America.  The same man called every time except the last.  He did not speak English, kept asking to speak to a "Ruiz." I would say over and over that I did not speak spanish, only english, and he would still speak in spanish.  Once he said thank you as I was hanging up.  One night he called at 9:30, too late!!  The last call I recieved was a woman, sounded Indian, she spoke English and said she would have my number taken off the account.  If you try to call the number that shows up you get a recording that says the number is not a working number.

If you have business with Bank of America, you cannot report the number.  You can, homever, call BofA and tell them not to call you with sales offers.

Bank of America called me 4 times from this number - 214-506-7160. 2 of these calls left this prerecorded message on my voicemail:
"Bank of America calling with a telemarketing offer for Bank of America customers. If you have any questions, please call 1-888-665-9900 Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern Standard Time. Thank you. Goodbye." then on the same voicemail an operator comes on the line and asks to speak to me by name.
Plus they called me 12 times from 805-309-5546, all voicemail hang-ups, plus 6 Bank of America voicemail hang-ups from 866-822-9401 plus 3 other calls from my local area code: 512-524-7052 and probably others that I'm not sure is Bank of America.

or call 1-888-341-5000 or visit my local branch, to opt out of Bank of America phone, email, and mail marketing. Seems by being a customer you are opted-in by default and they don't make it too easy to find out how to opt out. I tried the web opt-out form and will see if they stop calling.

I JUST RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER.  AS SOON AS I GET A CALL FROM A NUMBER I DON'T RECOGNIZE, I IMMEDIATELY GO ON-LINE TO CHECK IT OUT AND SURE ENOUGH THEY TURN OUT TO BE JUST ANOTHER SCAM.

Scamming, scamming, scammity scam!  Blasted nasty people lieing about being Bank Of America!

I called the number back and sat on hold for 10 minutes but the person who answered promised to take me off the list.  Said it would take 7-30 days. I get a call every day from this number.

Thanks so uch for providing this link.  They never left a message for me and, if I answered, the line would be dead.  I used the link and opted out.  I hope it works!
