AHA is a disgusting charity.  DO NOT DONATE ! ! ! How could anyone be so stupid to think this will "win friends and influence people"?

Sometimes calls several times a day.  I have a new unlisted phone number as of 12-11, so how they got my number, I do not know; unless they have a list of numbers, but mine should not be on it.  Am on NO CALL.  I hang up each time they call.  You think they would get the message, but some do not take the hint to stop calling.

We do not take solicitation calls and are elderly and consider this an intrusion. We live on fixed incomes and sleep during the day. Please do not call us.

caller ID reads: American Heart Assoc.  They call all the time, and with different numbers.  My call block is full. I wish that no one would answer or give to this organization due to the harassing telemarketing calls. It is annoying and I will never give to any organization who calls me. I can't imagine anyone willingly giving to these people. I feel that any donation would just go to the effort to raise more money to pay these people who annoy me and others to no end! They would do better to use any monies donated to their cause. I wonder is any donations are actually used to try to cure heart disease or help those with heart disease. Seems there sole purpose is to raise money and be a total bother!

Charity Navigator gives fairly good ratings, except for:      "Donor Privacy Policy".  But I don't donate to anyone who calls me - it is the kiss of death.  And with assets in excess of $888 million dollars, I'm sure my non-participation has them quaking in their cowboy boots (they're located in Dallas).  https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=3260

I gave a memorial gift a few years back, and now my punishment is relentless calls from the AHA for evermore donations.  Calls come from various numbers and area codes all hours of the day.  What a way to run a charity by ticking off your donors with aggressive calls from telemarketers trying to shake you down for more donations in order to satisfy their insatiable need for money.
