Received two prerecorded messages on my cell-phone regarding medical benefits.  I filled out complaint with the FCC at https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-216-453-1569

One other thing...the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (which forbids unauthorized prerecorded telemarketing calls) also provides consumers with an avenue for them to pursue monetary damages against the offending telemarketer to the tune of $500 per call. Of course, that involves going to court but it's not as difficult as it sounds. I believe that each time the telemarketer makes the call, they could be subject to paying $500 in damages (plus the consumer's legal fees if the consumer wins). In other words, if they call you 5 times, they could be liable for $2,500 in damages paid to you. Check out this link to the website of a lawyer who was startled awake in the early morning hours by an unauthorized prerecorded telemarketing call: http://www.panix.com/~eck/telemarket.html  He tells the detailed story of how he put the provisions of the TCPA to work against a lawbreaking telemarketer and made a nice profit.

For starters, file a complaint with the FCC: https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do

For other information, read some of the earlier messages posted in this thread.

Mine say's its a guy names Steve from Cardholder services and some crap about i need to change my interest rates as as possible. Obviously this is a scam. People and 'cardholder services' at banks dont leave an automated message if you need to do something with your account. Just beware and protect your information.... the number is 216-453-1569...i didn't bother to push the button at the end, but im sure i would have got someone, would have told them to take me 'off their list' and then probably would have been hung up on too...

I get them every morning here in Anchorage Alaska.  But I am just so used to it now.  I do not work until 2pm (swings) and I run an ebay store in the mornings.

So the Phone rings everyday between 9-11am at least twice.  I push "1" as the recording states and then I get a live person.  As I am working on my ebay store, I ask about there Warrenty Service, tell them about cars that I dont own, even told one guy I owned a a 18-wheeler.  I try to keep them on the phone as long as possible, ending the conversation with something like "Oh, I gotta go, my bacon is burning!", or "Oh my, my cat just jumped out of our 15th story window...I have to go".  If there going to waste my time, I toss them on speaker and waste there....everyday!

    This is the last Straw!
I am completely fed up with the telemarketing industry. I am going to have the telphone service removed from my house. These people have reduced what was a household necessity to a household nucance. This is not good news for the local telephone companies. The availability of cell phones and the abundance of telmarketers will ultimately lead to the demise of residental telphone service.

I am getting harrassing phone calls everyday from a company called "card services".  The phone number on the I.d. changes daily.  The phone number today was 407-999-9999.  Yesterday it was 5062-257-8350 (they have an extra number).  The day before that it was 863-467-8918.
I have asked them several times to stop calling and take me off their list but they hang up on me.
I am so fed up with them!
