Caller ID Illinois, hundreds of miles from me,  said he was from Walgreens and asked to speak to “Mary.”   I asked who he was and again he said he’s calling from Walgreens.  He insisted I put “Mary” on the phone so the pharmacist could speak to her.  I told him to put the pharmacist on the phone.  He said he needed to verify my dob and address first. I told him I’m not giving any personal information to anyone I don’t know.  He finally said, “That’s fine, Ma’am” and hung up.
As I write this, it occurs to me that I wonder what the ages of the people posting here are.  I’m past retirement.  I’m also not calling my pharmacy or insurance company.

I got same call today, drove to pharmacy and asked Pharmacist about it, she said she had no idea about it. I think and so did the Pharmacist that it's a scammer.

I have received calls from 305-507-6949 and 224-323-5002 both show caller ID as Walgreens. They never left a message but have received repeated unwanted calls.

This caller claims to be calling for Walgreens, but why from way over 1000 miles away. Very suspicious, and he had an accent.

12:08 pm, 9/25/18, caller I.D. said Walgreens, 224 323 5002.  Female caller:  "medication review...  (Why?)  your insurance wants us to do."  I hung up.  Telephone to insurance:  "only do when a cheaper version or supplement, etc.  Some calls legitimate, some are fraudulent."  Telephone to store pharmacist:  "med. therapy management call center is legitimate".  1-800 925 4733 Walgreens customer service.  "Is a good #, do call customers.  Put you on do not call list".  Transfer to ....dept.  Automated says will call me back.  Call again to 1-800 #, same verbal info that escalation dept. would call me in 2-3 days.  NO!  Eventually spoke to escalation dept. person...said he would escalate call to management.  I think entire program needs to be reviewed and stopped.  Person who called was not informative, just expected me to comply with her questions.  How do I or any person know if truly from Walgreens and for my insurance company without prior, authentic notice.  Too many persons, especially seniors, are scammed by being compliant with unknown callers, etc.  My Walgreens pharmacist and my DOCTOR are the ones qualified to talk with me re my meds....not a tech at a call center.  Apparently this is a Walgreens program that I believe is invasive, apparently has too much information re me and has taken up an hour of my time tracking it down.  I speak for myself and the many persons scammed by being too trusting and compliant in a world that is increasingly trying to trap and cheat those who are trusting.  I have been a Walgreens customer for many years and expect far better safety.

CID said Walgreen's, but it is definitely not my local Walgreen's number.  The woman on the other end gave her name (didn't catch it), said she was from Walgreen's and it had something to do with meds, and before she proceeded, wanted to be sure she was talking to (gave the correct name).  I asked, "Who is this again?"  Instantly, the phone was disconnected.  Some say these calls are a scam, others beg to differ.  I am not sure what to think, but that "she" would disconnect after asking a simple question makes me suspicious.

I've gotten two calls and to be honest I just ignore them, I figure I'd feel safer calling my pharmacist or talking in person.

The call came showing an Illinois phone number. The person said it was Walgreens wanting to discuss a medication. They wanted to connect me to a pharmacist, but when I agreed they said the pharmacist was not available. I did give the DOB. If this is Walgreens, it's a pretty badly run program.

I live in South Florida and use Walgreens directly across the street from my home. I received a phone call at 5pm eastern standard time from 224-323-5002 which is in Illinois. A woman claimed that she was from Walgreens main call center and a pharmacist wanted to speak to me regarding one of my medications!!. She said she needed proof of who I was and asked me personal questions of which I didn't answer any of them. She knew my name, my cell phone #, and the address of my local Walgreens!!! I found this very disturbing and refused to speak to anyone. I advise others to do the same. DO NOT speak to ANYONE but your pharmacist and your personal doctor!!!!!

A call from a man with a heavy accent called claiming he was from Walgreens claiming he was calling on behalf of Walgreens.   While they do have an office in Chicago which has fooled even some local Walgreens employees according to other peoples accounts my local local pharmacist checked the call list on my account and confirmed no call had been made by Walgreens from anywhere to me today.  This is fraudulent, don't answer and if you do, don't answer any questions.

I received call today at 5:05pm.  CID did not indicate who was calling just that it was Arlington Hts, IL.  I do not normally answer calls with unfamiliar numbers - I let it go to V/M.  For some reason I answered this call today, said 'Hello 2 or 3 times - nobody responded so I hung up.  If they call again I will not answer.
