Same thing here.  Indian (probably from India) called at least twice a day for WEEKS on both my cell and landline phones. Said he's from Windows Security and my computer has been compromised and someone is hacking it and stealing personal information.   I told him not to call again and he called back immediately, and again,  at least twice a day for almost another week.  I'm thinking of buying a whistle to blow into the receiver next time he calls.  Extremely pushy and rude. Calls at ALL hours of the day and night.

I answered as if I was the local police department and that I wanted their information.  The caller kept going with his script.  I said I was tracking the call and wanted to know where he was calling from.  He said California.  I asked what city and he said California.  I asked for an address.  After almost 2 minutes he hung up.   If we can keep them on the phone and they think it is the police, they may stop calling others.

Called trying to sound as if he was from Microsoft...heavy Indian accent. Tried to tell me my computer was sending them errors, and was infected with malware or a virus. I literally told him he was full of it...that I'm and IT professional and I run malware and virus scans on my computer regularly. Told him he wasn't fooling me, and he hung up really quick!

    Oh, PLEEEZ call me back!!!
Received call at 5:30pm east coast time on my home #. First person to talk to me had a bad connection but told me that he was urgently calling about messages from my Windows computer that there were parties trying to hack in. After my questions to clarify who was calling and why - evidently my repetitious questions were above his pay grade - he called in someone with a better phone connection and just as much urgency about my under-attack computer. I was told that they were calling from Windows Tech Support in California, but the area code is evidently from Michigan. They gave me the purchase date of the Windows computer in question, namely 10/9/04 (!!!!!!!!!) but could not tell me from where i "purchased" it. They wanted to make sure my computer was plugged in and started to direct me to log on so they could "fix the problem" remotely. I asked why i shouldn't just bring it down to the store, and was told that they wouldn't fix it at the store. After about 15 minutes, I finally disclosed them as the con artists they are by revealing that I do not own a Windows computer. At that point, the caller devolved to insulting me and finally hung up. (((By the way, the longest record that I know of to keep an unsolicited telemarketer on the line is a guy who chatted for 45 minutes with someone selling heating units. At the end of the conversation, answering all his questions, even going down to the cellar to see what was down there, the infuriated telemarketer had to conclude that the guy had a nuclear reactor in the basement. He did not sell a furnace on that call.)))

I was bored so I answered the phone when I received a call from 1-231-451-2211. The person on the other end went by the name of Jeremy, seriously doubt it since they had an heavy Indian accent. He claimed to be from Microsoft and that my system has been sending reports to their server about being hacked and malware being loaded. He then stated that he would be able to remove the malware and patch the security hole. I ask him how he would remove malware from an operating system that I don't use, and that all my systems run Linux based operating systems. He then made a comment about how I must be poor because I don't use Windows, and hung up.

called and I guess they didnt realize it was leaving a message.. it was a bunch of guys with an accent from India talking back in forth to each other about getting another $50 from someone else that was on another line.  SCAMMERS of course.  I dont answer any number I do not recognize but, thought it was funny to hear them talk about their scam on my answering machine.

Same thing ... said he was calling from Microsoft and that one of my computer was infected.  I asked him which one ... he asked me how many I had.  I said don't answer a question with a question.  He made up some number CLR, CLS something about the identification of my computer.   I asked him if he gets his paychecks from Microsoft?  I said this sounds like a strange call that wouldn't normally occur and that it sounds like a scam to me ...and that I wasn't about to give him any information.  To which he responded, "I hope your computers crash and go f--- yourself, n-word".  Being white, I don't get that a lot but that's OK... I think we can safely say it is a scam.
