The old Windows Scam call about seeing Errors in the event log of my IP address. Wants you to open up your computer with teamviewer remote.

He is a dotthead from India or Pakistan scamming Americans.

They keep changing their VoIP spoofed numbers and calling over and over again.

This is the same bunch that calls from 888-277-2271. They are Indian and have the same spiel. Odd but they called at 11:36 on the 888 number and then at 12:11 on tis 231 number........ does anyone ever fall for this garbage???

left a message on my machine that simply said "Die." Nice.

rings and rings...and I am NOT going to pick that landline phone up...but it IT annoying...

Heavy Indian accent. I was getting multiple similar calls and they now come from this number. My oldest son loves scaring these people. He will answer the call using various places (you've reach homicide etc.) (you have reached the overseas phone fraud hotline, what is your name etc.) When the caller asks for a person my son says they were just found dead and if the caller is their friend. Just a few examples. As for me, I tell them to stop calling my hospital room. Usually works after a few calls.

Believe this is scam call - as same individual has called before from a number reported as part of a scam. Claim to be calling from microsoft about computer and ip address - have received at least 5 calls from at least 2 different numbers one in AZ and now a Michigan number - same accented voice Western Oriental accent.

My call from (231) 451-2211 was from an individual with a thick foreign accent that asked for my wife by name. When I asked who was calling, he replied "Online Pharmacy". I politely told him we weren't interested, and thanked him for calling, and not to call anymore.

Same as all the comments above.  I'm so frustrated!  I've reported to the Do Not Call website, yelled at him, told him he's a fraud, etc.  Wish they would really do something about this!

Call blocker might be of some help.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd.  Or where there is no caller ID.  There’s  no way to stop the calls from being initiated.   Calls originate in India and Pakistan.  They regularly ignore all US laws.

scam call.   tried to tell me I had a problem with my Windows Microsoft files.  Told him, nope, my MAC works great.

The man with the heavy Indian accent called and attempted to represent the IRS. He tried to scam us out of 6000 dollars. I never gave him any info and after listening to his spiel I realized he was scamming me. I told him that I would call the IRS myself and hung up on him. Be careful with the guy....good luck

Call received, cut out after two rings. Will be added to my cell phone block list after reading the notes on here.

just received same call. said my windows computer was sending out error codes. told him my pc had been broken for 6 months, and could not have been sending so called messages. he actually said he was sorry for the inconvenience.

I just love it when people make their story more then it is.

Received call on my cell and the male Indian Caller said that I was receiving the call because there was an error reported with my home computer.  Well that was the first lie, then he said he was calling from Windows so I repeated you are calling from Microsoft is that correct.  He then said they are separate and I told him a lie is nothing to tell and that he should take his stupidity and never call my number again as he does not have permission to call me on any day or at any time with approval on my cell phone of all things and disconnected the call.

This call FROM 231-451-2211, was received on my cell phone.  A male told me my computer was not working properly and "he help me fix".  I asked how he knew that and was told because he could see it.  I told him he was not telling the truth as my computer was not in use or even turned on.  I told him I was reporting his number as we are on Do Not Call list. As I hung up, he was saying "no.no, I call to help you."  SCAM.
