- NNNNNHave had them hung up on me twice before we even got the the fun part. I thought I was the one supposed to hang up on them.
- ManBearPigCall to my cell # was blocked because the calling # is not listed in my contact list.
Not sorry I missed the call, even if they said it was Bill Gates calling me I wouldn't take the call (probably wants me to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 ...pfft). - JennaI just received a call from 234-321-3432 and a foreign speaking guy said something about my computer messing up & they would fix it as they were from Microsoft. He started rambling on & after he said I need you to turn on you computer (and my laptop was on right in front of me!), I told him I would have my son who is an IT Manager (and he really is) look at my computer, he mumbled something & hung up! I tried calling back & no answer!!!!
- Caller: Microsoft (I think he said)
- Gloria BriceI got a call from this number and the man said he was calling from the call center about my computer and something was wrong with it. After I told him I don't have a computer, He was very nasty on the phone so I hung up the phone
- anita wellsThey keep calling us never leave message when. We call back phone just rings. Butvthsn they call back again again no message
- Gail from KalamazooThis is again the "Microsoft" technolgy Indian sounding male about my computer errors. I told him it was a scam and I'd make a report. Apparently loves to argue. Said I'd file a complaint with AG, and he continued to want to argue- even demanding I give him the date when I would send in the report......total jerk! He hung up. Within 30 seconds- my phone rings again - this time from 312-421-0154. Same guy. "See, now I call you back". He starts arguing all over agin, so I joyfully just keep right on talking that he is part of a scam and it is all over the internet etc. I take a pause, and find he is yelping "You [***] [***]" repeatedly until he hangs up again.
I attempt call back- the 234 area code number has a recording that I have either dialed wrong or the number is
disconnected. The 312 area code number just rings without any answer.- Caller: "Technical support for Microsoft"

- LarryReceived several calls from this number today. Same thing each time, India sounding voice claiming that he was called as a windows certified person regarding malware that was on my computer and broadcasting my personal information. On the second call I decided to play along. First I turned of my wireless internet function. I then listened to the instructions the guy gave me. First they have you run the windows event viewer. This utility allows you to see all action going on with your programs; its rather cryptic to look at but to shorten the story you normal see all the requests and actions different programs take and any errors that occur. Errors are pretty normal in the binary world of a computer. After looking at this the guy requested that I return to the run utility and enter "www.121.usa.com/help". If you get a call like this DO NOT enter the www address. It will take you to their web site. After I hung up I did a little research. Scams like this are common and from what I read they are a million dollar industry. Also in my reading I found that what they do is will ask you to make a remote connection. When this is done they now have control of your computer. The article also said that they will attempt to mislead you into believing that there is all sorts of stuff wrong with your computer. Additionally, it said that Microsoft or any of its associates will never call you nor charge you for computer fixes.
- MaeCalled @ 1:04 pm EST. I didn't answer and no message was left. CID said wireless call. Never answer calls from unknown names and numbers. Had to be a scam call.

- Jane in WVa, USAI received a call from 234-321-3432 and said hello. No answer, then I heard them try to hang up. Of course 1st thing I did was put the phone no. into Google and got this first page. ................ Are "they'" s-t--i-l-l trying to use the MS virus scam?
p.s. if you get toomany "prank", abusive, etc. calls, you do NOT report to FCC: one files a report with federal FTC.
Also, I forget where, Yahoo has a report page.- Caller: "wireless caller"
- Call type: Prank
- Jane in WVa USAp.s. It is really wierd if your caller ID shows you are calling yourself. I wonder if I should block my own phone number from calling me? Frontier ISP offers $3.00/mo block caller. I'll have to find out how to block an "unknown caller" "'unknown number" from my ISP. I will only add the wait time for tech support averages 2 minutes. Once, I had to wait for 3 minutes~! lol
- Caller: my name, my number
- Call type: Prank
- ToniHe told me his name was Andrew from Microsoft, calls all the time. I told him I didn't have a computer but he continues to call.

Work laptop is through the business and my desktop at home is under my husband. SCAM!!!
- CHERYLThis is a scam. I called Microcenter technical department and they told me Microsoft DOES NOT monitor anyone's computer and DOES NOT proactively call customers to tell them there is a problem. These people want access to your computer. Hang up and do not do what they instruct you to do!!!
