Sort of the same story--antique dealer with 12 yr old son from Germany traveling in Africa to buy artifacts for his store in Conyers, GA--Name was Dwayne Towns age 51 and the picture of him and of him and his son--he too was very good looking.  I was suspicious at first due to match.com---but he lead me on for 3 wks--then stated when he got ready to leave the country--he was robbed and needed some money--I did send a little bit as I also spoke with "his son" who was very scared.  I am assuming someone he is in the con game with.  I did speak with "his son" off and on as well,   Anyway--he is very good--strung me along for 6 wks--until this past weekend and then got aggressive and wanted more money to hold him over until this week-- 234 807 157 2495.  His email is pmg012@yahoo.com--which belongs to Pablo Gonzalez but his name belongs to a resident of Conyers who runs antiques--he is very good at this con game

Unless things have changed I called Verizon a couple months back and they told me they couldn't block a international number (from Nigeria I believe) only domestic, and the only thing I could do is change my number. BTW the number is "234-803-7454623" and they called 3 times from 2:30am to about 4am in the morning!

I received calls from this number 234 808 888 2948 looked up from Nigeria didn't answer I'm sure this is another scam. Just wanted to share. Thanks to 800notes very helpful.

Yes it happened with me , i get calls from 234 808 2294895  i dont trust anymore in sites as Qiran.com / arabmatchmaking.com...etc there are a lot of men LIARS ! i have nothing to say except take care ladies dont send photos or money

I am going through this right now with someone who calls himself 'Bill Lipsey.' His emails are too much too soon, and I found myself getting slightly sucked in, then realized if something seemed too good to be true, it probably was. I even asked him if he was for real!  I decided to Google this name as he claims to be from Boston and is traveling in Nigeria with his 9 year old son - same thing - buying antiques, textiles, art, etc. His profile was matched with mine on Match.com and he said he would only be on the site for 3 days trial. I have been taken aback by his lengthy and forward emails. I have not exchanged a phone number yet, thank goodness - did you? Is this where your problems began? I only have a mobile number so it's my hope that I'm safe from getting these calls - I also haven't told him my last name, so hopefully there will be no way he can get my number! I'd really appreciate any other information you could share with me. It's got to be the same person/scam.

The pictures I saw on Match were one of a very nice looking man smiling (no glasses) and then another of seemingly the same person with a yellow shirt and a young boy with glasses he claims to be his son. Does this match your experience? Did you give him your phone number? Thanks for any clarification you can provide.

OMG, I have the exact same story.. I have not giving my phone #. Sounds like the same guy. Yellow shirt small boy with glasses.

Calls at all hours of day and night. I now won't answer my phone for this number.

He tried to scam me .. I'm too smart to fall for that . I busted him.
Although I enjoyed the emails . Antique buyer. Smoozer! If it's too good to be true .. It is.

The very same guy calling himself Bill Lispey just reached out to me 2 days ago on match- same yellow shirt, young son.  Great long emails, in Nigeria on business supposed to be from Okla this time.  I'm glad I googled him and came across all this info as I have only exchanged 2 emails with him.  He is smooth and I am gonna send him a message calling his bluff rigth away.  Thanks for posting this useful info!!!

The same guy started e-mailing me but after 2 long e-mails with some weird errors (things that said "man" instead of woman--I think he just copied things a woman wrote about what she was looking for in a man trying to make himself look like a perfect mate.  I googled Bill Lipsey and found these blogs.  I told him to never contact me again and he hasnt.  His match photo was the one with the young son and he was wearing a yellow shirt.  I did not give him my real name or phone number.  He asked for my daughters' names in his 1st e-mail --- RED FLAG!!!

I get them too. They are international scam calls that use your number to make free international calls to other places. they use your vm to have conversations and if you answer sometimes they will carry on the conversation over you. Just answer your phone and disconnect, if you keep forwarding to vm they will keep using your number.

I've been getting instant messages and pictures from a Jose???ph smith saying al kinds of crazy stuff even sent a phony engineer contract saying his job was cut short due to him getting sick he needed 850.0 for a flight to the USA , I told him to call the Red cross they'll help him LOL ladies beware

This is so weird, I am currently on match.com and I've given out my phone # to a few people (within the past couple days). They all sent me normal emails. They knew stuff about the town I live in, didn't say anything over the top amazing, they weren't long and they didn't have any grammatical errors. They are good looking but don't have a son, nor do they fit these descriptions. But I got a call from 234-80-27387274. It is from Nigeria because 234 is the country code and 80 means it came from a cell phone in that country. It was at 1:40 AM and I didn't answer. The match thing cannot be a coincidence. Did anyone get normal texts from the people they gave their phone numbers to? There is only one person I gave my # to that has not texted me so maybe that's the one??? Is anyone getting normal emails?

Lol just had a woman on yahoo message me I even told her I'm a cop and she's still persisting. Funny how stupid these people think we are. Her name is Karren Shelton. She even "got" on cam but then all of a sudden started begging me to let her turn it off WTF? I never asked her to turn it on. Then gave me her personal number with the +234 country code.

Hi there....I also have received that same picture...says he's about 50, with a 4 year old son....this one is in Oil drilling...OMG  stay away from anything that sounds too good to be true....In fact, Im stringing this guy along still (after about 6 weeks)...telling him I can get the money...but of course I won't!!!  Im trying to keep him going for as long as I can, so that there is one less lady he is scamming.....

He used the name Robin Donald Mark.....says he's italian...have even video chatted with him...is the same guy from the pictures...
