Evidently I left out the fact that THERE'S NO ONE ON THE PHONE LINE WHEN THEY CALL!  Some of you are right, they do randomly dial numbers...  Numbers that are pre-loaded into a computer with your Name, Number, and Address.  Yes, they have your address, scary, huh?  Maybe you should have your number unlisted from the phone book, also, give magazine subscriptions the wrong number, also, give your credit card issuer your wrong phone number, also, give the phone company the wrong phone number.  I say this because these are just some of the ways these "lists" are created.  You think your phone bill is the only way the phone company makes money?!  Do you have ANY idea how much all those trucks, fuel, hazard pay for lines man (guy who fixes a downed wire) and insurance are?!?!?  Yeah, they sell your info, SURPRISE!

So a computer dials all these numbers at once, it depends on the Parameters, but generally it's about 500 numbers a minute.  That number is connected to YOUR INFO, so IF a "representative" isn't on another call your info pops up onto his\her computer screen, they ask for you, if you say hello and get silence?  Well, they'll try you back when they, "recycle" the numbers, that's right, they use green words to confuse the situation.  They're really just calling people back, over, and over, and over, and over, and over.... avalon was collecting money for homeless veterans...they said it was a courtesy call and my wife gave the phone back to me and i said this was not a courtesy call but a solicitation.  All I got was silence from the caller but could hear a 'phone bank" in the background...

Folks, block the call and contact your local VFW or other local veterans organization to make a worthwile donation - Lord knows they need it.

They have called here several times and hang up each time.

Started getting this call 6-8-11.
Have caller ID. - never answer.
Please find them and stop the calls.

same as the rest calls when I ans no one there

This is SO annoying!  I don't understand why they would call every day?  It just doesn't make sense.  They just hang up, or if it gets my answering machine they don't leave a message.  What's the point?

Calls all the time - no one on other end - hangs up after 3-5 seconds

I have received multiple calls from this number and no one answers.  This is very annoying and a waste of my valuable time.

this # calls & shows as "avalon" on caller id, when answered no response just silence. calls several times a day.

We continue to get calls from "Avalon" but they just hang up.  Very annoying !!  Also on the "DO NOT CALL" list.

I just got a call a while ago on SUN JUL 03 2011 @ 05:15 PM.

This same outfit from Avalon was calling me also. This needs to be reported immediately to the Attorney General of your state that you live in.

ALSO, you should call the local Police Department and report this immediately.

I am constantly receiving calls from this number and no one talks.  Its like their phone is on a timer also as after a certain amount of time it automatically hangs up.  Is this a scam to take your money somehow?

been getting calls from this number for months. No one ever talks. Called it back. Don't even get a ring. Wonder if we got put on a list for saying we couldn't afford to donate money a few months ago? Guess what? Just blocked your number, so no more calls. Finally

I have been called every day some times twice a day from the number shown above. On my caller ID the name Avalon show up.

I get phones calls aleast five days a week from AVALON 239-599-3004 and no one answers when I say hello over and over, I have a DO NOT CALL phone nunber listed with the Federal Governmnet and dose not seem to maen anything to these jerks, I hope I never see thier name on my caller ID again!

Call many times no one on line when you answer.

No message.  I said "Hello" three times..never any answer.  
Caller ID came up "Avalon".

Got one this morning and I simply picked up the phone and immediately hung up on them since we don't know anyone or anything by the name of Avalon. No idea if they tried to say anything but I wasn't going to waste my time.
