call from    248-710-0050 caller ID said "PEOPLES ASSIST" on Thursday 09-14-17 at 1202 PM

card member services message. no one came on the line - just dead air.

Answering machine took the call. Same as above - claim to have been monitoring my credit and I qualify for % interest blah blah blah... Been without electricity for days thanks to the storm and it was SO nice and quiet not having to listen to the phone ring from all the scammers. If I didn't have to have the phone for work I would consider going without completely.

Called my office phone.  Caller ID shows "Rochester MI".  I don't know anyone in Rochester Michigan so assumed a scam and did not answer.  No voice message left.  Block this number.

Caller ID shows "Peoples Assist." This is some credit card interest rate reduction scam. I get this same message several times per week from different telephone numbers. So aggravating...

How do these people keep getting away with violating the DNC list!!!

Caller ID "Peoples Assist". Recording "Heather with Card Member Services......." Same old B.S. lower your credit card interest rates" SCAM!!!! Asked the rep is she worked for a reputable company. Her response was "Yes". Asked what was the actual name of the company and she said the "Credit Card Company". Told her there is not a company with that name and that was a bunch of B.S. She hung up. So sick if these a**ho**es!!!!!

Most of these "robo calls are with spoofed numbers," so reporting them does no good.  NEVER give or verify personal, credit card, bank or financial information to ANYONE who makes an unsolicited call to you!!!

Caller ID said Rochester, MI. Left message about getting a lower rate on credit cards. Same old scam.

Some idiot called just to hang up on the answering machine.

Same here and I did the same, since I have told them not to call before.  So, like you, I'll waste their time

I've reported this with a different number before.  I told them to quit calling but they don't. And yes, number's on DNC list. This is the landline, and my students sometimes call. So I have to put down the laptop, put down the papers I'm correcting, and get up to answer, Only to find this. Will waste their time as much as possible.

They actually left msg on machine! I deleted as soon as I heard "credit card". Don't know exactly what scam they are running but sure it's a scam.

I just got the same call about 30 minutes ago.  I never answer my phone.  That is the job of the answering machine.  My credit account is with Bank of America and they keep a very close watch on the accounts if anyone was monitoring they would have a record ofit and put out a security alert advising me of  unusual activity.  It is a l00% scam coming from 248-710-0050 .  Block the number asap.

MANY OF THESE CALL NUMBERS SEEM TO ORIGINATE FROM THE SAME SOURCE OR CALL CENTER.
When you get any kind of unsolicited calls (robo generated or not) and you get a live person from the caller, when they greet you or ask you a question you just respond "What do you lying cork soakers want to scam me out of today?"  If they respond or not just keep repeating your opening phrase over and over and over whatever they say or try to respond with.  Do this until THEY hang up.  If we all respond like this to all unsolicited and illegal calls they will soon get the message.  I do this with all unsolicited illegal calls whether if is from Microsoft about computer errors, the IRS or someone wanting to sell back braces or "Rachel" from credit card services.  I am on the DO NOT CALL list so that makes them fair game  Try it!

Same complaints as mentioned above.  Calls keep coming in from "Rochester MI"
