I got a call form a man who called himself Peter Smith. He claimed there was a law suit against me but would not tell me why.
He asked for my social security number to verify and when I refused he read off the number he had, which matched my social. He claimed to be a police officer. I tried to refer him to my lawyer but he would not listen long enough to take down the information.
He refused to tell me why I was being sued because I was being irate with him. I believe this to be a scam.

I was called by this number several times, he said his name was Jerry Wilson  the person claim to have a law suit against me about a loan I never took out. He asked for my social and told me I would be served by an police later also I would go to jail. He was very rude and would not give me his information.

I have been getting calls from this number and he said in two hours a police officer would be at my house. He gave me an arrest number and case number.

The individual who called said his name was Steven McDonald. He said he was calling on the behalf of Cash American loans. He threatened to send me to jail for and outstanding loan.He also quoted legal laws and statues.

I run a counseling busines out of home. I have received two very threatening calls from this individual who calls himself Jerry Wilson (from Bombay), He made  threats about coming to my place of f employment for not paying my loan that is outstanding. I spoke to Jerry once. I have no time to waste. I called  ed the local police and they were very much aware of this scam. I will block this number. Let's see what they will do no!! Horrible to be threatened in my own home by some lazy ass!!!

I was contacted by Jerry Wilson and he said I had a loan out for over 500.00 and he said if I didn't take care of this today I would lose my job and go to jail. Told him I didn't have it and he said expect the police to come to my work and pick me up.

It's a scam - report the call to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  Debt is a civil matter, not criminal, so no one is going to jail.  You are not going to lose your job either.  Next time he calls, tell him he's been reported and you are also recording all calls he makes to you so your attorney can file a lawsuit against him for multiple violations of the FDCPA.  Read about the FDCPA and learn your rights as a consumer!

I'm tired of them calling me and leaving threatening messages as if i'm supposed to bow down to them.  KICK ROCKS!!!  I'll go to the FDCPA and see whatI can do as well!!

I had a man call and he said he was with US Cash, never heard of them, but the same phone # keeps calling me and I just hung up on him.  He was a foreign man and a scammer

This foreign man he says his name is Mark Anthony who portrays himself as a debt collector and proceeds to leave me a voice mail threatening me by telling me if I don't return his call further actions will be taken at my work and my residence.  He seems to get very agitated when leaving the message.  I am scared  after reading these comments I am to afraid to call him back.  I did do research and found he is calling from a land line not a commercial phone number.  He also hides the phone number he is calling from on my caller id the came up 480 145-0019.  Please everyone be careful this is one sick individual.

I had a foreign man call today told me his name was Mark Anthony left a voicemail to call back it was urgent.  He then proceeded to call my work and tell me that he represented a law firm and that I defaulted on a loan payment.  He also told me that if I didn't pay I would be arrested.  I kept asking questions he could not answer and he got very irritated.  I kept asking if he had the bank account number that supposedly got the loan and then he got very mad and started yelling.  After me saying there was no need for him to yell he told me that there was because I was arguing with him..I then said I am arguing cause this doesn't make any f***ing sense and he then yelled something along the lines of good luck to me and hung up.  This is a total scam I notified local police and let them know what was going on.  Does anyone else know of something else I can do??

He just called me today and he is really scaring me and he used the same name Mark Anthony I think I am going to call the police also.  Good Luck to you.

nd it was in defalt and i would be arrested and have to pay legal fees  i have no loans and he would never tell me the company name he called from a unlisted number the next day said he was checking up on me.

The are calling our business number asking for employees, claiming to have an emergency for a family member.  It's obvious they are calling from a collection agency, "foreign" accent and you can hear all of the other agents making calls.  It's high time this place gets shut down.

Had a call to my place of employment from a mr Jack Taylor telling me that there had been a legal case against me. They gave me my social security number to verify I was the correct person. When I told them I was not aware of any case, I ask them to send the papers to my home address. I also notified them that they were calling my employment and that all calls were recored legally by the company. The caller hung up.
