I don't have any suggestions for stopping the calls other than to block them if you have that option on your phone or from your provider I don't but here's what I do with harassing calls. I SAVE the number to my CONTACTS with a name like Junk 23 (moving up one digit for every new entry. I have then created a GROUP (in my case "Junk Calls") and for that GROUP I have assigned it a ringtone which is 30 seconds of silence. I then add the new Junk number to the GROUP. If they ever call back I am not disturbed and later when I look at my phone and see I missed a call it shows me I missed a call from Junk 23 and I know it was just an a$$whole. By the way, I never answer a number I don't recognize. If it's important, they will call back or leave a message. I check each number I don't recognize here. A lot of times all the caller is doing is fishing for numbers where people answer so they can call back at another time. Most of time after I've been called several times without answering the calls stop. Not always but most times

I had reported another company to the Washington State Attorney General's office, and I received a phone call from them yesterday. They are aware of this company but can't do anything. The company is located outside the US and uses computers to spoof their phone number. It appears as though the call is coming from somewhere in the US, but it's not.

The AG lady said that there is nothing anyone can do at this point because the crooks are outside the US. The best thing to do is to just hang up and DO NOT press any numbers, even the one that says they will put you on a do-not-call list. Pressing any number tells the computer that yours is a real phone number and they will continue calling you. They will probably also sell your number to other companies.

Remember, just hang up and DO NOT PRESS ANY NUMBERS. She said eventually they will stop calling.

Second time today. I called the VMS number given in the texts above. No one was there at the"sales" office.

This is a scum company posing as a General Electric Agent - which it is NOT.

I will be contacting the R.I Atty. General to file a complaint. It is recommended that you also do so.

It's a bit of an effort, done on-line - but worth it if this scumbag company can be fined

Got a call a few times this week from this number.

They are either annoyingly aggressive or just disorganized.

This may also be more sinister than telemarketing. These guys may be trying their luck to find a little old lady (or anybody gullible enough) to gain access to their house.

This is the opposite of security.

3rd phone call in 2 days.  never answer, and doesn't leave voicemail.

I have comcast, and there is a phone screening function already in my service that I haven't used yet. Dial *60, then work through the prompts like a voice mail system (dial 1 to turn it on; then 2 to add this number).
Call the cust. service dept. of whoever your carrier is, and ask them - you probably have this function included in your plan.

I get calls from this number often! They never leave a message! Wish they would stop!!! I am on the National do not call list?!

Numerous calls from this number--I am on do not call list

I called the number back and got an automated message with the option to opt out of future calls.  They had been calling several times a day without leaving a message.

3 to 4 times a day for weeks--never leave a message. Extremely annoying! I also am registered on the do not call list. Have had the same calls, different caller ID text, but the number sounds familiar.

This number calls three TIMES PER DAY!! It is awful...I am on the DNC list...guess that doesn't matter.

I have found the best way to handle these calls is that IF you actually get engaged in a conversation is to sit in front of your computer and go to a soundboard website (I prefer Napolean Dynamite just for the cooky lines). This way you never have to engage personally and you just click the most random sound bytes and never say a word yourself. If nothing else it keeps you from getting so angry when you can't stop them from calling, and instead you have some fun listening to them react with Napolean Dynamite or Joe Pesci or whoever. I actually look forward to these calls now! Try it ... loads of fun!

I am also on the do not call list and I've gotten 4 calls from this number today--3 within 45 minutes.
3:37, 5:14, 5:36, and 5:53.  I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize either,but this is so annoying.

Me too - every other hour or so seemingly. Moronic tools. I just refuse to answer. I'll just keep reporting it to the FCC & the Do Not Call List. I'm sure the "security company" previously referenced will appreciate being roped into it.
