- TeresaI received 3 calls from this number. The first time I informed them I was not interested and to remove me from their call list. They called right back and wanted to know why I was not interested. I informed the man to never call me again, before I hung up he informed me "You will listen to me before you hang up" I hung up anyway. He called right back and before he could say anything I told him " thank you for calling back the 3rd time. I will now make a police report for telephone harassment. My husband is an FBI agent and my brother is a US Marshall." I then hung up and they have not called back.
- I got 2 calls today from "Windows tech"I got 2 of these calls today, one was "out of area" the second came from the aforementioned phone number. I strung along the first woman, I kept asking how she knows about the errors and to pease tell me when they came in. She got increasingly frustrated and was breathing nervously. After having her going for a bit I finally told her, I don't even own a computer! She says "BY THEN!" And hung up.
Moments ago, I got a call from Neil, 67 independence road Washington DC with the above phone BUT he gave me a 210-775232 as a all back number. He gave me his "employee ID" GAP44570
I had him on the phone for about half hour. I kept asking about how he got the messages and when they came in, he said your computer has a CSLID and he gave me a Windows license # . He even went as far to give me my moms name and the city where we live...I told him he got my name from a phone book, and the city he can just Google it. He becase frustrated but kept on. I told him I have an antivirus in my computer to fix that, he says no, not virus, Internet infections...um, yeah, that's a virus!!! He said "yes" I told him to give me instructions on how to fix it and he said but every computer is different, you need to be in front of it and I can guide you through.
I said "you have my windows ID, you should know what OS I'm using! He is now stumbling, but says "no I dont"
I had enough, I told him my computer hasn't been working for at least a month so how can he be receiving errors. I really had enough and told him that I don't even use wondows I use Ubuntu, he says "what?" I said I use Ubuntu , Linux,
He says "you are using Linux? I said yes! Then he tells me "well maybe I made a mistake- Caller: "Windows tech"
- Mad as hellgot a call from this number- clearly a call center with alot of noise in background. Barely could hear the guy but interupted me while i was in the middle of something imortant. I told him to get off.
Very annoying to get these calls- I would like to find a way to prank them back.- Caller: don't know but number was 253-385-8786
- Mad as hellso I tried calling back the 253-385-8786 number but put a 1-8oo in front of it instead of the area code 253. i got another scam site that tries to pull you in with a cruise, then asks you if you are over 65, and then tries to sell you one of the life alert type systems- first they say its free, and then they want your credit caqrd number- clearly the same people preying on seniors. Well this is one senior that pranked thes criminals back- boy was "Angela" surprised. Then I did it again but let my radio full blast do all of the talking.
- US VETERANSCAM!!
Received a call today from 253-385-8786. Guy had foreign accent. Said he was calling regarding "Microsoft windows" & that my computer was sending them errors for the last few days.
Now, my computer is registered with Microsoft, not have I used my cell number anywhere online. Guy did not ask for me by name. I could hear other people in the background & music. Sounded like a call center or maybe be an internet café.
I have heard on the news & read online that scammers have been calling people saying their computer has errors & they can help correct or fix the problem remotely.
I have NORTON anti-virus & a malware program, which runs security checks daily.
I have not had a virus or malware in the 4+ years I have had my laptop.
& the cell number that this person called has never been used online or anywhere else. It is a personal cell number, which less than 20 friends & family members have the number too. My work does not even have the number that this scammer called- Caller: WINDOWS
- US VETERANThe number has been reported to my cell company, FBI, & NCIS.
Who ever this person is called me twice within half hour. Same person, same accent... but tried to switch up why he was calling..
first time it was because my computer was sending him (a Windows tech rep) error messages for the last few days. I cut him off & said not interested. remove my number.
2nd time he called, he said he was from WINDOWS & wanted to know if I was interested in purchasing anti-virus protection, because my computer has a potential virus.
I recorded 2nd conversation. I am going to upload it to youtube later today or tomorrow with the number attached so it can be searched.
I am going to forward it to the FBI also with a call history from my cell company.
This is a scam. MICROSOFT who owns WINDOWS will never call you, unless you called their customer service.
Next scam, we will be getting calls from GOOGLE saying that there is a problem with your gmail account or your CLOUD account was hijacked.- Caller: WINDOWS TECH
- lamica watkinsKeeps calling breathing on the phone
