- AngieFor the past year I've been getting calls from this number.....says he's from Windows...I told him I had no computer.....he kept on talking even as I told him not to call this number back, then I hung up on him....its a scam of some sort!!!!
- JeremyThey called me and hung up. I called back and got an error message.
- Erica BridgesThis person calls often and never says anything. I tried to call back and it is not in service supposedl.
- reb3mmbCalled me three times last night - twice did not say anything. The third call, "Mark" was reading from a script that clearly indicated English was not his first language. When I pointed out that he might want to practice some more before making calls, he said, "I'm going to slap you in your face, [***]." After we played the "eff you," "no, eff you," game (until I got bored), he finally said I was harassing him. Um...you called me, idiot.
- Caller: No Idea
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ?This guy is persistent! I told him not to call me again in which his response was he'd call me the next day. I plainly told him he would not, that there were laws put in place that if I told him to not call my number back and he did, I would report his number and press charges. He then asked if I was a VIP person. Lol I then stated no after laughing and told him never to call me again and I was hanging up his last words were, okay I will call you in 1 hour! - I'm just thinking they seriously need some psychological help before someone tracks them down. That is straight up harassment!
- Caller: I didn't allow him to speak first! Not my first go around!!
- GI received a phone call on the evening of July 10, 2015. This number has called me several times and I never answered until now.
This woman said hello? And then passed the phone off to this heavy accented guy. He said, "This is windows support and..." I immediately started cursing him off with every word I could think of. All he said was expletives back. Two minutes later, he was really mad because of my heavy use of foreign/racial insults and hung up on me. :) He didn't call me back... :(
Complete scam everyone. He will tell you that you have a virus, ask to remote session or ask for your credit card to remove it.
A friendly reminder... Windows doesn't contact you EVER. Good luck.- Caller: "Windows Support"
- Call type: Telemarketer
- A.Heavy foreign accent. Claimed to be from Microsoft technical support and claimed that my computer was sending them messages. I laughed and told him my computer is a mac. He immediately hung up.
- LindaB replies to Edith PhilłiPsFederal Trade Commission has an on-line site for reporting scams.
- Alfonso GonzalesThis person tried to tell me that my computer was infected with many viruses and that my computer was going to crash at any day. I told him I had virus protection. Thank him and hung up. I can tell this was scam because of the phone number. It has happen before.

- hannah replies to Edith PhilłiPsthere is no number to call back...it's disconnected and no longer in service as so many of the scammers are....i'm going to try and find a number to report it...but i think we can be grateful - i'm sure they were trying to hack into our computers and take whatever info they could....
- T.Got multiple calls from this number over the last few months. However, they never left a call back number until today. If you call the number that comes up, it says it's disconnected. Their call back number they left today was: 512-394-8565. I first Googled the original 253 number to see any posts about it, so knew they were running a scam when I called back. When I called I hit *67 and blocked my number. They were not pleased with this. They asked for my number. I refused to give it and said, "You called me, so you have it." He kept saying, "Why you number blocked? Why you block number? How is number blocked?" I said, "I blocked it." I then asked what their business is and where they're located. They said a loan company in Texas called Cash Advance. I told them I never applied for any loan, so they needed to tell me: (1) How they got my number? (2) Why they're calling my number? (3) What their intentions are? I'm also not in Texas, but didn't tell him. The guy couldn't answer anything and then said he's calling me to arrange for sex and he'll give me $1000. He proceeded to say, "Do you want to [***] with me?!" Using [***] as sex not messing with someone. Then he kept yelling, "You're a skinny white girl!" Then, "Are you a white skin or a black skin?" Then, "I like white voices." Then back to, "I'll give you $1000 to [***] me." I again asked: (1) How they got my number? (2) Why they're calling my number? (3) What their intentions are? He wouldn't answer, so I said what he was doing is illegal. Running scams is a crime, and I'll be reporting him. I also told him that I know he's running phishing operations to scam people.
Guy had a heavy non-American accent. He said he's "James from the loan company in Texas." That the loan company is called "Cash Advance."- Caller: Said he's from a loan company in Texas called Cash Advance. Then, changed it.
