This is the number I was supposed to call to get information from the IRS , as they are filing suit against me.

The orginal number it came in on was 1-618-465-8085 from  Alton , IL.   It was a very bad computer generated female voice saying this was the IRS and they were filing suit against me. I was suppose to call their "department" at 253-656-4763 for information on this case.

Received a call the there was a lawsuit against me from the "IRS".  I was told to call 253-656-4763.  When I called the number I was asked what phone number they called me on.  After a 5 minute hold the person came back and told me there was an IRS Lawsuit against me and I needed to call back tomorrow morning because the information they needed to give me would take an hour and they were preparing to close.  I asked if this was infact the IRS and there was a lawsuit against me to provide me with my name.  The person on the other end told me I was Susan and that I would need to provide them with other information for the lawsuit......  This is Bogas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TOTAL SCAM!!!  Don't fall for it.  My friend is an actual IRS agent and confirmed these people are total frauds.

Received recorded call from 630-529-1659 stating that this my final notice that the IRS was going to sue me.  Was directed to call back at 253-656-4763.  Reported this scam call to IRS at http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml

Got 2 calls within days of each other. The second call came today, April 22, 2015 in the morning. I returned the call at 253-656-4763. The caller was a woman, robotic sounding. The first call was from a man, also robotic sounding. When this morning's call was answered by a male with a foreign accent, and I could hear a lot of voices in the background, like on a telemarketers' call. I said I got their call and wanted to know what it was about, that they said they were suing me. He asked my address, and I generalized an answer, and asked him what this was about. He asked if I was calling from a mobile or
land line. I asked him what the lawsuit regarded, there was breathing, and then he hung upon me. Any news on this? I am checking the number t see if there is any info on this, who the scammer is, etc. Any word on this scam?

Called me and had spoofed the number of a 97 yr old guy in Calif.

The robo voice called me twice today to say I was being sued by the IRS.  The number they called from was 585-335-9098. I was sure it was a scam looking for my SS# and my birthdate.  Don't get sucked in!!!

Same automated message as others left saying I'm being sued by the IRS…call 253-656-4763. Knew right away it was a scam, what are they going to sue me for??!! LOL!!  Besides, IRS would send official certified documents/snail mail…that's how they work. Curious what their game is?  Anyone call and find out what these jerks are up to?

I got a call from this number had no caller ID told me I was being sued by the IRS and gave me this number to call. 25 36 564 763 when I call the number it doesn't go through.

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Just got a call today from them to call the number back.  Curious me called back. I could barely understand women's Indian accent.  She said 4 charges against me stating I owe IRS $800 from the years 2011-2015.  She said the Sheriff's department in my area will be coming to my home serving me with papers within the next 30-35 minutes. Totally bogus people.  Scared the crap out of me.  Glad I researched it.  No words at how furious I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A holes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
