Just got the call from this number as well - and I am on verizon.  First time it has happened, and googled it and was brought here.  definitely NOT calling back.

This number called me at 10:16 pm; a variant, 261-229-600199 called me at 1:02 pm. All times are EST. Both numbers hung up after one ring.

i got a phonecall from +261229600197...sooo creppy.

I recieved two calls on different days. One on Friday May 16th (261229600415) and another on May 18th (261229600416). I answered them just out of curiosity. Then I get billed about 12.00 dollars for just three minutes that T-Mobile says I physically had to have dialed. It was very troublesome to have them remove the charges. I was going to Fax a compliant to Customer relations 813 353 6545. I called again and talked to some one else, he made me wait a few minutes then said he can reverse the charges.

I too received a call today. Before I cud respond the other party just hung up. Weird! why do they make these calls (+261229600196)

i had a call from the number (+261229600193. when i recieved my bill the charged €20 for the call :S

Got a call from +261229600195 at 3am EST today, thanks for the useful tipps here! The phone operator doesn't seem to be the key as to where they get the numbers from, I'm Swisscom (Switzerland).

I also got a call from +261229600195 today 13 july 2008 15h05 CET and it was strange, as Skype rejected to support a callback. Then I googled and found this thread. Looks like a Scam. Dont call back.

Same thing as everybody. A call at 07:45 CET from that number. Fortunately I never answer numbers I don't konw.

+261229600193: my phone just rang for about 3 secs, & this no flashed on the screen. i receive many international calls & was curious about the location of this as most calls received are from the US. When i typed it in google, for a search, i was really surprised the number of entries on this. If anyone figures out wht this thing, do tell..

Today I had a call from +261+229+600191, rang twice. Few hours later I got a call again from the same nr. Rang twice again. I didn't pick up the phone and now I found this led. My operator is Tele2.

Heute, Donnerstag, 17.07.2008 um 17:19h erhielt ich einen Anruf von dieser Nummer +261229600194. Ich liess lange klingeln, nahm schlussendlich doch ab. Keine Antwort vom Anrufer. Anschliessend beendete ich das Telefonat nach ca. 22 Sek. Merkwürdige Rufnummer :-(((
