Got a call from the same number a little while ago... it is 430 am Here! Heard about this scam on the radio...i will not be calling them back.

I received a call this morning. I didn't hear my cell phone ring so I don't know how many times it rang. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers. If it's important then they can leave a message.

I keep receiving (but not answering) calls from 1-268-762-0027 on my pay-as-you-go cell phone. No messages left and I will not answer because I don't know the number. Is there anyway to block this number?

One ring scam

Some one called me from 268-762-0027 on 1/31/14 at 6:38 pm and hung up after the first ring and I had a suspicious feeling about this call and thought it may have be a scam,  so I kept the number and looked the location up on the internet and then I found this website.
Thanks everyone that are posting, so that if these are scams,  they can be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I got the call on 2/1/14 at 5:53 AM. After couple of rings it stopped but didn't leave a VM. Its annoying on a weekend while still in the bed.

Got call from this number.  Glad I researched it before calling back. Thank you for this site.

They called me on 1/22 and also this morning while I was asleep.  Didn't answer so I don't know if anyone was there or not.

Received call on my cell at 8:32PM.  Rang twice and hung up.  :(

I got a call from here yesterday at seven pm it was my first now I have another call from 268 762 0034 , at 11:00 pm ! Glad I looked it up and for out this information thanks !

7:00 am on a Sunday morning. Caller has been blocked, on my Verizon I Phone.  Easy to block go to "i" icon to the right of the recent call number and scroll down to bottom "Block this contact". Press and done. I don't care what they want, or who they are, Thanks to this site, You all told me what is needed.

This is a scam originating from several Caribbean islands, including Grenada (area code 473), Dominica (area code 767), Jamaica (area code 876), Montserrat (area code 664), Turks and Caicos Islands (area code 649), Antigua and Barbuda (area code 268), Barbados (area code 246), and Anguilla (area code 264).  This scam seems to have started in Grenada and has quickly spread to a number of other Caribbean islands.

The original scam attempted to lure the called party to return the call to the Caribbean number by calling at inappropriate times (e.g., early morning), ringing only once or twice, and not leaving a message.  The called party would incur international and other phone charges for a return call, with a portion of the proceeds going to the scammers.  The latest iterations of this scam have combined the cramming feature with other scams (i.e., prizes, debt collections, “computer virus” problems, etc.).

Cell phone rang at 6:06 a.m., and no message left; I did not return call, but this is very annoying to be awakened on a Sunday morning.
