Talked with gov office today (Friday)…they are working out a way to shut down their numbers.
Unfortunately, I could not get a time-line.

Got a call just now 11:29 PM from 268-762-0041, I was curious about the area code then I googled the number only to find out that these calls are from scammers. I answered said hello twice and they hang up just trying to get you to call back, don't do it or you will be charged an arm and a leg.

Did not answer. Wife's $ my phone rang at same time.

Call rang 2 times and no message

Has been calling me every other day with two rings and no message. I'm really glad I checked here now.

There is an App that you can download called Mr. Number....I love it ...it will block any calls not in your contacts...it will also block unwanted texts....try it... :)

Has called three times in the last week. It rings once or twice, but no one leaves a message. I love having a board like this to see there is a pattern with numbers like these. I too won't answer if I do not recognize the number. I figure if it is important they will leave a message.

The phone call was late at night. Only 2 rings and then a hang up. They did not leave a message.

You'll be fine. The US carriers have not allowed the pay-per-minute-without-explicit-acceptance in million years. I don't believe this is what these calls are trying to accomplish. I think they're calling numbers from a list to see which ones are still "live"--which only takes a few rings to do. If they don't get the "out of service" message after the first ring, they know the number's "live." Furthermore, they don't have to pay for the call because it's never connected.

Foreign callers are not worried about US laws.

They just called me. Nearly midnight on a Sunday night.

I, however, ALWAYS Google weird numbers. Time to add them to the block list!

called .... did not leave message ... same day as the Caribbean area scam was on local news.

Called no message. 12:21 pm

Got the call too... what had you recently signed up for.... I just registered for honeyfund... could it be from that?

Got the first call from 268-762-0042 on 1/30/14 at 3:25pm (central)
Got the second call from 268-762-0041 on 2/3/14 at 11:25pm (central)

Just got this call 8:55am today..(February 4th 2014) I attempted to return the call but my carrier would not permit it and told me to learn more from my carrier.
