This number just called my work phone. I did not pick up as I could tell it was not a "real call".  My work phone has been getting inundated with spam calls and there's nothing we can do.  We have no option to block these number.

OMG, yet another mad dog in the Quacken Loans wild dog herd!  I have read the posts in this forum with great interest, as one interrupted, partial online inquiry to Quacken Loans has resulted in nearly 200 repetitive calls seven days a week from all over the U.S. Many of the numbers are phony, spoofed or pirated. These people have no shame. A truly wonderful way to impress potential clients by incessantly calling at all hours. We did what others recommended- went to our local bank and quickly concluded a very favorable deal; a no brainer. The most dangerous acts one can do is to give these devil animals any personal data online or over the phone, or to give them a credit card number for alleged advance fees "to expedite the process." When will these criminals be stopped?

God help us, yet another robo-calling devil in the national Quacken Loans refi herd. Caller Id says Porter TX, where's that? On Mars? This one calls repeatedly all day, every day. A truly marvelous way to impress potential customers, just harass them by telephone all day. Blocked, pending the next spoofed or pirated number.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone.  I have a standard policy on NOT answering a call unless I recognize the number. Otherwise they can leave a message if it is important.  In the multiple times I have received these nuisance calls they never leave a message. I immediately block the number.  By blocking, the caller they can call two hundred times and will ALWAYS get voicemail saying "Please leave a message for....."  The best part is you are unaware they have even called unless you look at your blocked messages.  They cant leave a message and it just shows which blocked number called. My current list of blocked numbers has 178 entries!

They have called repeatedly, I answered today and asked why they kept calling, the caller started by saying my name is .... and I will be brief.  I told her I was on a do not call list and to please stop calling... then hung up and blocked the number.

Another devil dog robo-caller on a tie-line, likely using a spoofed number, selling mortgage Refi, as well as other scams. They also call repeatedly with (281) 601-9289, then switch to (281)?364-0398 (Spring TX). I wonder if this is a new marketing technique they teach at business schools - harass potential clients at all hours, seven days a week, multiple calls daily, in the expectation they will eventually pick up and listen to the fraudulent message. When is this telephone terrorism going to be stopped by the Feds?

From what I have read, they are doing things towards that goal, but considering many scams are coming from outside the US, how do you propose the 'Feds" handle them?

    Hi Mike!

Yea ... it appears that too many people want "somebody else" to address the problem, and refuse to take appropriate steps themselves.  I really doubt that Kirk reported the numbers to the appropriate authorities, or even investigated the advantages of a quick DIY solution, such as a call blocker.

(Note to trolls who may complain that call blockers do not work:
Kirk has complained of repeat calls from only two numbers.  Call blockers DO prevent repeat calls from the same number!)

I agree, as my blocker works very well and I rarely have to add to it, since its a service and many others contribute to it daily. I believe  the people who complain repetitively about unwanted calls, know all about blockers, but don't want to use them or they might miss an opportunity to confront a scammer and 'waste' their time. I got nothing against that, but I can't understand why they have to disrupt information about the blockers by opposing them or pretending they don't exist. Theres room for both ideas.

All of the foreign robo-callers have a U.S. agent that is paying every month for the basic tie-line number, even though it may be spoofed a hundred different ways (one can program any number and Id desired in the robo-calller). The telephone company has the full name, address, etc. of the agent, as you can bet the telco wants their payment on time every month. A simple search warrant to the telco will enable law enforcement authorities to discover the data on the agent(s) and shut them down, and lock them up along with the telco people who are knowingly enabling and encouraging the fraudulent harassment calls.
