Called and asked if it was me by name, and can I verify that my last four of my social were the numbers that he gave me. When I told him I wanted to know who he was with, he wouldn’t answer it. He asked again to verify that those four numbers were my social, and when I refused, he said that he wouldn’t waste anymore of my time and hung up on me

I keep receiving calls from these people but they refuse to tell me which company the represent. I have called them back and they will not tell me who they are.

Scam...block immediately

They call and ask for you by name. They then ask you to confirm the last four digits of your SS. I would not answer and instead ask who she worked for. She told me "it was a business mater and she had to confirm who I was before she could discuss the matter". She then asked again for me to confirm the last four digits. I said no, that's not me. She said "Ok, is mm/dd/yyyy my date of birth.". I told her that I didn't know what she was talking about. I then asked again in a stronger voice. Who do you work for and why are you calling. She said "I have recorded you two records for now and I will give you a call back later", then hung up. I called the number back and waited for someone to answer. When they did. I asked the lady whom answered, who do you work for. She hung up immediately. Some how these people have gotten ahold of you information and are trying to confirm it, so they can use it to cause harm to you. Either by taking credit cards out in you name or gaining access to your bank account. They mean you harm... Beware!

Sounds more like a debt collector

Answered and wanted me to verify personal information.    I asked who they were and they refused to tell me until I verified my info.    I hung up.

They just called me and asked that I verify my personal information such as my name and date of birth, but would not tell me what company they are with or the reason they called without me verifying my info.

Calls my cell several times a day.
Never leaves a message.
Then within a few minutes, call my home number!
No message left there either.

Woman w/ Indian accent said I owed $300 to Meineke. I’ve never been to Meineke in my life. She had my personal info. I called the police and reported the scam.

Multipul calls from this number and when I would pick up they would hang up. I called them back to ask who they were, they would not tell me until I varified information, which I declined so they hung up.

Answered and was greeted by someone who had my name and last four of my social, wouldn’t tell me who they were with, just that it was in regards to a personal matter. Why I asked how the hell they got my last four of my social, and that if had any business with them I would reach out to them not the other way around, she hung up. Again never giving their business name.

Number calls me daily. Answered today, had my last name and last 4 of social. I demanded to know the company and he hung up on me. Sounded like a crowded room. Was a guy, with Indian accent.

Claimed to have a personal matter. Wanted me to verify info and would tell me who they were.

Man called me asking me to verify that the case # he stated to me matched the last four of my social.  I asked him to verify what company he was calling from.  He then continued to repeatedly say, I can't hear you speak up.  He had my dob also but would not verify who he was calling for.  After I told him again I needed to know where he was calling from before I verified anything, he said he couldn't say and said good bye.

Calls my phone every single day. When I ask who it is they hang up on me. I’ve called them back 5 times in a row and still when I ask who they are they hang up.

Received several calls from this number, never leaving a message. Today, I answered and they wanted me to verify my SSN. When I asked what he was calling in reference to, he said he would call back later, then hung up. I tried calling back but get put on hold for a minute before they disconnect.

They said the same to me its a personal matter wanted to verified last 4 of my ss# i told them im not interested and hung up

This number keeps calling me.  I answered it a couple of times to tell them to take my number off their list. However, when I answer, there is nothing on the line and they hang up. Frustrating!
