They called & said they were going to lower my Credit Card report.  Weird thing is I don't have a credit card any more.  Lost my job a few years ago & my mom had to pay it off for me.

Shows up as DELAWARE.

Message says it's my final notice to lower my credit card interest rate to 4%.

Got the same call about a half-hour ago myself.  Today it was from Delaware. Yesterday it was from Bridget in St. Cloud, MN. There has to be a way to stop these bogus calls ... who can stop them? It's obvious the Do Not Call list does not work. My phone carrier can do nothing about them! Can the FCC have any muscle to stop them or are we just left to our own devices?

Just got a pc from this #.  I ignored it - but this practice seems to be increasing.   We're on the DNC list, but apparently that doesn't mean anything.   Thank god we have called ID.   I don't answer calls I don't recognize.

I too received a call from this number today and hit 1 and asked to be removed from their calling list.  They hung up on me.  I am going to block this number so hopefully, they will not call back from various other numbers.

Called on my cell phone with an automated message, "This is the account services department. Did you know you can lower your credit card interest rate?"  at which point I hung up.  It's my cell phone and I'm on the do-not-call list as well.  Will be filing a complaint with the FTC.  Between my wife and I, we've had $20,000 in fines assessed against creeps like this.  I encourage all of you to do the same. Hit them where it hurts... in the wallet.

Just received a call from 302-232-3130 from Bridgewater, De.  I did a * 57 trace and sent a fax message to my poice dept about the call.  I have ben receving  enitrely too numerous annoyance calls on both my fax lien and my home telehone lone-- and both numbers are on the DO NOT CALL LIST!

Same deal.  When is the TCC going to put these scammers in cuffs?

I am on the DO NOT CALL list and each time I receive one of these types of calls... I file a complaint at the link above.

I have had it with these people. Every time they call, my caller ID says it's from a different state...Delaware, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida...and they call me sometimes two or three times a day.

I have no idea who the company is or how to get then to STOP!!

got a call from this number.  pushed the button to put them on speaker ph and it automatically disconnects

Pressed #1 and told the guy that I have already told them 3 times not to call.. He said "So what we will call again tomorrow"

It might not do them any good, but it could be pretty entertaining for you.

They called us tonight, and I just hit the button for the fax machine to 'answer' it.

You go get them Dan, I'm hoping with all your connections you might get this number to stop calling my house phone. I live in WA and don't have any reason to hear from this area code.

(Go back and read through these posts and see how many folks don't even use a subject pronoun in their first sentences, or in many of their subsequent sentences.  What's up with that?)

Just for documentation, I'll report that they called us at this time in middle Georgia, USA.  From the other posts, I can see that they're probably a information phishing scam, using the 'lower your credit card rate' scam.  If you give them any information, you're screwed.

Well, I guess I had better luck. the Number belongs to HSBC Card Services.

They run the Rewards MasterCard program for Best Buy. Apparently when someone opens an account, they don't bother to check if the phone # given on the application belongs to the applicant, and someone used my #. Not my name and information thankfully.

I don't even have a credit card and I am not the droid they are looking for. Move along!
