I received a text saying he was Steve Wilson w/Veteran Advocate for all branches of the military.  Looking for one realtor to refer veterans for their housing needs.  At a time with the coronavirus pandemic, I am leery to reply.

You actually expect us to believe that you are that guy from March and that you are monitoring this thread all of these months?  Yeah, doing damage control to try to make your scam look legitimate.  It isn't working.

All you have to do is call me, Steve, to find out it's legitimacy, but you don't. Instead you make false claims and won't even identify yourselves. BigA? Really?

How would calling you guarantee the legitimacy of these calls? Scammers are often very good at convincing people of the scam they're trying to perpetrate. I notice you replied to BigA but didn't actually answer him. Why is that?

What would calling you prove?  Heck you could tell me anything.  You could have your voicemail set up to say anything.  So calling you proves nothing but it would give you my caller ID and my phone number.  So, no not going to call you.  I also don't believe for one second that you stopped back here after 8 months on the chance that someone might have posted something you don't like.  Monitoring for 8 months, well that would definitely be damage control.

Hi. I got this too. I was going to leave a message but didn't it. It's worded like spam / scam. After extensive research, I specifically chose you. That doesn't sound right.

Steve Wilson just emailed me says
"I volunteer as a Veteran Advocate for all branches of military service.  I need to find a Realtor to help some Veterans and Military families buy or sell their homes.  A Realtor I'd trust to send my own mom or kids to. THIS IS NOT SPAM I'm NOT a robot, NO donation, NO referral, monthly weekly fees, NOT lead generation.  Please call or text me 302 401 4655 Thank you"
well no one answered, no voicemail - let me get this straight he wants to send me business and implies he wants nothing in return OK, what a joke, if its such a sincere service you want to offer for what has yet been explained why don't you just reveal it here or in the email - well I blocked good ole Steve good riddance

Just got the same text message and I'm a lender. Has anyone actually talked to Steve to see what it's all about?

It is a no-brainer that this guy is a scammer. There is an actual Steve Wilson as a Veteran Advocate at HelpVet.net in Dover, Delaware. I doubt the real Steve would be sending out random spam emails and making calls from an unpublished number.  If it is the real Steve, then perhaps be more responsible and include the number on the website to prove it is legitimate.

In the post by OT7ARMY, the email says he is looking for a realtor and gives the number to a realtor named Steve Wilson....doesn't really make sense that a realtor is looking for a realtor, does it?

So why is he monitoring this thread for this number?  Too shady to ignore the red flags!

Got the same text and actually replied and spent about an hour on the phone. After an hour of being reassured there were no costs and how great the company is (not to mention using veteran suicide in the sales pitch), he nonchalantly says its $399/yr/town to have your info shared on the website essentially. Even says if I want to give back for the lead, to give it back to the veteran. I don't know how legit the actual company is but the marketing method is just down right despicable.

Same story. Guy is the worst kind of scumbag. Using the military tragedies to lie and sell ads. He first told me at age 15 he injured his eye and couldn’t go into military but got his pilot license by 15. Then later said he was in military when I questioned the prior admission he got pissy attitude and said he was contractor for intelligence community on voice inflection and could tell when anyone was lying. I almost fell out of my chair but I was on my second drink and enjoying the hole being dug. Steve if u are monitoring this now that I texted you the above post I have a message for you. Go [***] yourself and I hope someone that polices dirtbags like you catches up with this company and shuts it down.
