Received the same phone call from the same man claiming to be the IRS.  Someone please figure out a way to trace these unwanted calls!!!  

Man with foreign accent says his name is Jonathon Night, that he's calling from the Federal Investigation Dept. of the IRS, Badge #06719, that our taxes have been audited & the IRS has found that there was a "fraud & misconduct on your taxes which you are hiding from the federal government & needs to be rectified immediately"!  He then goes on to say that we need to accept his phone call now that we've received this message (we let the answering machine pick this call up when we didn't recognize the 302-966-9241 phone #), he again left his name/company, then hung up.  I called our local Spokane Crime Check & was told they've had numerous calls from folks who've received this same phone call... they advised me that this is a telephone scam & to completely disregard the phone call altogether.  I just hope the police or the IRS or someone is seriously looking into this issue!!

I did followed his instruction step by step, but not the last one to go to a local pharmacy until I reach to the police department and reported the incident, please do not believe what ever you get from this number.

This also just happened to us. My mom was scared that something was happening I called a few times then looked on Google. I hope this ends soon.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Jonathan Knight indicated he was from the IRS and I was holding back information.  First call was left on my voice mail.  I am getting multiple calls from this number and am not answering the call.

I told him to walk out of his front door and go find a fn job like a man should. Stop setting on your punk [***] bothering people all day and lying. He hung up :)

I just received a call from this number. The called had a heavy indian accent and it was a bad connection. It sounded like a recording. I was a bit suspicious because I have dealt with some issues with the IRS and they always correspond by standard and certified US Mail Service.  The IRS does not make phone calls concerning tax issues. Sorry to see so many people are getting the same calls.

Why would anyone bother what?  These are extortion scams if that is what your asking about, they hope to scare people out of their money by threatening you and hoping your clueless enough to believe it.  If your talking about reporting the calls, that is something you get nothing for. While most of these are coming from India and Pakistan, there's always the hope that their government will co-operate and go after these thieves.

Got same message as everyone else and called back to play along before i called his bluff, he then hung up. Everyone, keep calling back and placing lunch orders or ordering pizzas. Just keep placing your order if he tries to stop you - its too good to be true.

Received a call from a poor English speaking person called Johnathan Knight, IRS Badge number 46719, about me hiding money from the IRS and is extremely time sensitive on 15 January 2015.

Block this number on your phone. Called Police. It's happening all over. Stupid Jack [***] has my 77!year old mother (with dementia) all upset crying and afraid.
