Just out of curiousity what email address are you all getting this from?  I just got the same letter and figured it for a scam but I answered it and requested the information forthwith which I know I won't get.  Will be contacting States AG and FBI as well.

I have been getting these e-mails in various forms for the last few weeks.  first it was phone calls that I would avoid and now e-mails.  it is a huge scam and a shame that it gets some people nervous when they receive them.  I guess that's what they are counting on.  sad thing is you fill out anything online at some point and they can get pieces of your information to use against you.  best is to of course not reply to the emails and let them wonder whether they even had the right e-mail to reach you ... or answer the calls if you have caller ID and don't recognize numbers.   Sad there are so many people out there with various forms of these scams.  Just be aware but not let it get to you.

oh... and the latest e-mail has come from:  JOSEPH FOSTER <us.gov.legaldept@gmail.com>
(nice to know the government has a gmail address!)

and with it was attached a very pretty colored "Arrest Warrant" for "any law enforcement" to arrest me.  Oh my lord!!

I got the same exact email, and all I could find on google earth was a church. The street iself does not seem to exist.

Yes I just received the same message witht he exact word that you have from Joseph Foster. Thank you for submitting that so I know it is a scam.

I received the same message case number 4100  and the 740.00 amount they are going to call my work garnish my wages call my employer send the sheriff tis really make me mad don't send anything!

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

Yes they spelled walmart with two l's and refused to show me my contract before I sent money

He just threatened me with a warrant and l explained my brother was a judge and needed to see the oringal contract and now no response
