It is Capital One credit cards calling from India.

To perhaps stop or lessen the calls, some one suggested to speak in a foreign tongue.  Granted NOT the best way, but just a suggestion that I got a kick out of. I just need to add this number to the other numbers that they call from.   Also A LOT of companies are trying to "call" you using your area code in hopes that you'll pick up too.  FYI

I have been receiving this call ALL DAY LONG yesterday and today! I didnt know who it was but i called it back and it was Capital One asking for the account number. (Automated) Not sure what account number they are asking about, since I havent had an account with them in about 8 years! I was thinking, maybe it was because I just bought a house and now my information is available to solicitors, BUT i think i am going to change it now, because I don't think it is right for mortgage companies to be giving my PERSONAL information to ANYONE!

It is Cap One and they are relentless.  Luckily for me I gave them my backup cell number with is an old Alltel phone number.  I can dial *780 and turn off my voice mail.  I just sit and laugh as they call over and over and cannot not get a hold of me.  This works of course on all unwanted calls.

Capital One... they call every day starting at 8am. As many mentioned, they have a billion numbers from across the country that they call from. Here are a few more of the many:

This is supposedly CapitalOne calling to offer options for making payment over the phone. They have called me every day at least three time and sometime six times each day in the last month. II usually let the voicemail answer and they leave an automated message form "Linda". Today I answered the number to get more info. Guess what, its not Linda. It was a guy who sounded like he was from India. He knew some personal details about my CapitolOne account and wanted me to make payment with him over the phone. I told him that I make my payments online and that I wanted him to take my cell phone umber off his list. He immediately hung up on me.

Next I went to Capitol One's site, logged into my account and changed my cell phone contact number to 804-967-1000.  Since the system they're using is automated, I added the same number to home, work and alternate. Now the automated system calls the call center using all 4 numbers.  Given that when I was called they would sometimes call several times a day.  I figure that call center is getting 8 calls + or - when the system fires up.

And that ladies and gents is how you Rick Roll Capital One and waste they're time and money.  :-)

we need to pay our bills people

It's Capital One and they are trying to collect. I am about a week behind due to hospitalization and they are calling constantly. I'll be able to pay them next week when I get my first paycheck now that I'm back to work but yeah...it is Capital One, the "opportunities" is the opportunity to pay your bill. :P

I am so sick of these people calling me, I even went on line and put my number on the do not call registry and I'm still getting calls from these people, any other suggestions???

If you don't want them to call you, just call them and tell them to take your number of the list.
