I received at least a dozen calls from this number today.  The first caller identified himself as Leo Thomas with the Scott County Law Enforcement Center to transfer me to a Sgt Zach Austin of the same department.  I asked for information regarding why they were calling me, and was told that there was an arrest warrant for me regarding a past due bill all totalling $5,500 including legal fees, interest, etc.  The man would not give me information as to where this bill was from, other than I was to be arrested this afternoon at 4:30 if I did not pay them that money right away.  Ithem told them I would call them back.  I then contacted the REAL Scott county law enforcement center and was told  that there was no officers by those names, and then the dispatch laughed at me, as she said the police usually don't call and alert people to a pending arrest.  When they called me back after approx 15 minutes, I told them about my call...the man got really upset and called me every name in the book.  They then took turns calling my number every 2 minutes for a half an hour  I have saved all 2 of their voice messages and will be taking this to my local PD to report it.

I got the same thing done to me on April 3rd.  Scared the heck out of me!  Knowing there is nothing I could possibly be guilty of, I was afraid my social was stolen..then after I gathered my wits about me I started attacking their credibility and told them I was going to report them to the authorities.  They basically threatened my..told me that would be at my office shortly to arrest me..and have a safe life.  What a bunch of scum.  Yep..sounded like it was some sweatshop room in India.

I got the exact same call, same day.  They kept calling back until I screamed at them and told them I was going to report them to the authorities.

I received the phone call today. I have called them back 8 times to treat them the same way they treated me and let them know that they were fraud because we have not gotten a loan in over 20 years. Something needs to be done about this ASAP as they state that they have our bank info and everything. Anyone out there know who to contact yet?

I received a call like this today at work...my boss knowing it was a scam told them that I no longer work there and then they called my cell phone and told me the exact same thing except this guys name was Officer James Morgan (hell he couldn't even say James Morgan). I saved both voicemails also...wishing me good luck...I contacted a good friend of mine which is a police officer and also my cousin which works for the Swat team...both said they are not gonna warn you that you are going to be arrested it's just gonna happen....oh then a month ago they called me at work wanting to know where I worked and I said dumbass you called me at work you tell me where I work lmao!!!

After receiving many of phone calls back to back, I finally answered to be told the same story.  I told them I was going to contact my attorney because I don’t have an outstanding loan. The girl told me that it was a federal taped phone call and I just threatened her.  I proceeded to hang up on her because it was ridiculous.  This is a scam and these people should be arrested for this. The scary part is that they knew my social and a previous address.

I have also been receiving threatening calls from Officer Kevin Scott announcing he is with the Federal Crime Deparment and that I will be arrested with a non bailable warrant so call him back at Ext 246 and save my self and there are serious complaints about my Social Security #??? Seriously - Kevin Scott?! with  that accent, and level of background noise - like a call center...unlikely. He has called twice and left voicemails complaining I haven't responded -which I am saving as evidence so now I am calling every LA county sherrifs dept with a complaint.  I get enough calls asking me for money every day, I can certainly live with out this SCAM.  
Report this guy, he belongs behind bars.

Also I looked up Federal Crime Dept and the BBB advises:
....In the event this happens to you or someone you know, its imperative you contact all three credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion and request a fraud alert be placed on your report," advises Barnett. "This will protect you from further damage to your financial status."

Hi Michael - similarly, this "Kevin Scott" called my husband's wireless line looking for me and was very insistent I call him back at 310 872 2186 Ext 246 to avoid arrest and the 2nd call ...that it was clear to him I was running from being caught.  This # is the # that displays on our missed caller list so obviously they have several #s they are using.  The caller becomes harder to understand the further he gets into the messages.  Once I report this to the credit agencies, I will just block this # and report it to my carrier

I really appreciate hearing about everyone's experiences with this.  I immediately didn't trust it since the caller had a clear foreign accent (maybe Indian or middle East?) who named himself as John Scott.  He said he was calling from the "Federal Crime Department".  I hung up.  He called back 4 times and eventually left an URGENT message.  How can we get this stopped?  I fear some people might be taken in by the scam and thus help it propogate.

4/13/12 Just got a call from this number. Scared us, and said my husband would be put in jail, if I didn't send money. Said that there is a warrant against him, gave us a case #. Said that he will be put in jail, and it was a scam.

I just received a msg from this same # 310-872-218 from an officer Kevin Scott. There was such a heavy accent that I had to listen several times to get his name. I never did get the name of the person he thought he was calling, but it didn't sound anything like my name. I called the number to tell this person that he didn't have the correct person. The person that answered (I think it was the same person on the vm), but would not put me through to officer Scott unless I told him my name. He got very rude and hung up. I am adding this phone number to my block phone number list.

I just got a series of calls from 310-872-2186. I could barely understand the guy. It sounded like a thick Nigerian accent over a very sketchy line. He told me he had my case number and that I was about to face 9 months of jail time. This went on several times. He wouldn't take "no" for an answer.

Then I Google'd the phone number and came to this page of posts ...

I got a call and a voice message on April 16 at1:02 PM. It was from officer John Scott speaking in a heavy African accent (Nigerian scam?) telling me that there are serious allegations against me. Worryingly he had my first and last name. Then he said if I don't call back there will be an arrest warrant against my name and my social and I will be behind bars for 9 months. Haha what a joker.

You got off cheap. They wanted $1543.37 from us...lol...

They called us for a week. They claimed we owed $1554.37. If we didnt pay it "GOD HELP US" was his quote. Also we would be arrested by 4:30 pm. I called our BK lawyer & he called them. After using his lawyer terms & requesting documentation, they hung up on him. Its a total scam to scare you out of hundreds of dollars. I saved the vm msgs & went to our local PD to file a report. They even called my husbands work & he almost got written up until our lawyer called them to verify it was a scam. You cant call them back from a cell phone. It wont go through. Only a lan line will your call be accepted...The last time they called I pretended to be a police officer investigating "FCD" & they could hang up fast enough lol... 1-310-872-2186

I got a call from this number. He said his name was officer Daniel Carter.  He threaten to have cops com to my house & have me arrested, Said that I owed them $ 4,000. would not tell me the cOMPANY.
