- JesseIt's a "law firm."
You missed tolls and now have a fine of $210, how do you want to proceed?
That's not me, I have iPass.
Is this XXX YYY at 1234 Street?
No, I don't live there but that's my name.
What's your address? .... What's the last four digits of your SSN?
Be careful.- Caller: Ash PC / Law Firm Ash
- Jon| 1 replyThis is the Google Voice transcription of the call. I think it's a "law firm" as well:
We have called several times to reach Jon *** and we have not received a return phone call. This is an important matter for Jon ***, Please deliver this message as soon as possible. Have Jon *** call Mr. Adams...
Weird! I'm not returning the call.- Caller: Unknown
- AnonIt's a law firm calling. I don't have a debt with them..my message was the same as above
We have called several times to reach [name] and we have not received a return phone call. This is an important matter for [name], Please deliver this message as soon as possible. Have [name] call Mr. Adams at [number]. - Lori in Wisconsin replies to JonThis sounds exactly like the calls I am getting. Caller ID says LAW FIRM ASH. They are trying to reach someone who used to live in this building, but not this apt. Because I have a similar address, they call me constantly. I've tried calling back, but never get through to a person. As a law firm they should know that telephone harassment is not legal!
- EdI get the same message once a month, sometimes twice. I guess that if this was really important they would leave a real message.
- Caller: Ash Law Firm
- EdA so-called collection agency trying to collect old toll booth violations. Ask for a bill in writing and they would not provide it. They want to deal on-line only... SCAM!!!
- Caller: ASH Law Firm
- Call type: Debt collector
- Floyd DavisThis number keeps calling me several times a day and nobody is ever there.
- Caller: Harris and Harris
- Call type: Debt collector
- virtualitygood ole- google voice came to the rescue again.... they are on my permanent voicemail answer system. If they ever have anything of substance to say I'll get the transcript.
- Caller: unknown
- Call type: Debt collector
- LindaNo clue who it was, but the number rang on a Sunday morning. Figuring it's a scam
- ChristinaCaller Id reads Harris & Harris. They call at least 3X wk. I answer, they say nothing. But, they don't hang up...they just listen. This happens over & over. So, they've been BLOCKED. If these people call for a legitimate reason, they'd leave a dam message or say something after I say hello instead of just breathing. Definitely freaks.
- Caller: Harris & Harris
- Call type: Prank
- StentorThis number calls me about twice a week on my home phone so I never pick up since the VOIP line is just a trap for all the idiots, scammers, & debt collectors that want to harass me, & this number is no different. They never leave a message & I never call them. I figure if it's really important, they would leave me a message. This number shows up as belonging to Arnold Scott Harris (ASH) Law Firm in Chicago, & the caller ID says Chicago, IL. They've been sued multiple times by other lawyers for debt collection harassment so they're probably nothing but a bunch of low-rent ambulance chasers. I figure they buy old debt for pennies on the dollar, then harass people until they get some sucker to pay up. Since the calls usually come in on weekends, I figure they pay people who have nothing better to do, to just sit in their offices & make phone calls.
- Caller: Probably ASH or Harris & Harris
- J FaheyConstantly calling my phone number without message, phone call shows Caller ID and then blocks call from further ringing. Name on ID is Harris and Harris.
- Caller: 312-348-1546
- A. SmithThey called today and left a useless message. They are just trying to see if anyone living is answering the call. We did not answer and then we placed the number on the block list. They may come back with a different number. It appears they were active during the last recession 2010 with foreclosures than laid low for few years and now they are back in 2017 presumably encouraged by the new administration and it stands on consumer protection legislation. I am sure they are riding high on their horse these days.

- Denny| 1 reply“Harris&Harris” sent letter claiming to be collecting on behalf of a city for a traffic ticket incurred in a vehicle I had donated over two years ago. They also call daily. Their invoice has the wrong website for said city. Said city states they never hire for collection agencies. Said city has no records for either of two fake ticket / citation numbers supplied in writing & verbally by “Harris&Harris”. “Harris&Harris” state you have to provide them w/ personal info by fax to prove the information is wrong. Said city advised me this is identity theft and to not respond in any way to “Harris&Harris”. I filed a claim with the US Postal Service for mail fraud. Will file with AG for the state of Illinois and state of Texas.

- BigA replies to DennyTraffic tickets are not considered consumer debt and are thus not covered under the FDCPA. I doubt that "mail fraud" claim will go very far. However there might be some information that you could use here:
If you would like to know how to make the calls stop permanently, as well as learn what agencies to report them to and even how to make them pay you for the harassment, please read my post here and follow the directions: https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-312-423-7525#p1263148729726126432 - SumHarrisandharris, that‘s what appeared on my caller ID, called my home line a few times but never ever leave a message.
